now keep adding restrictions until nobody is willing to do them, like making the surgeons strictly liable to the tranny's family when he kills himself

Terrible precedent. What they need to do is make the surgeries not covered under Alberta Health Insurance and make it entirely private to be paid for our of pocket instead of using taxpayers dollars. Voila, all of a sudden no one is trans anymore.

Voila, all of a sudden no one is trans anymore.

The queers won't stop at that. That's not what it is about. A trip to the third world for cheap surgery is still well within reach. But even if it weren't within reach, that's not what it is about.

It is about being transgressive.

You not paying for it stops little.

It stops me from caring.

If a bunch of 18yo commies want to pay to chop their dicks off then commit suicide; good, I say. I hope they all do that as long as it's not on my dime.

psh, why should the collective well-being of the society concern you? hell, i say you should put up posters. "everyone, mutilate and kill yourselves. as long as it's legal, and not stealing MY money!"

collective well-being of the[sic] society

If one values his current rights, he shouldn't care about it unless the people start favoring slavery to the state. In Western societies, there's been very little in between the poles of "as long as it doesn't harm others" and the "you are subservient to the state/community" of ungabunga tribalism, unless you were of a certain class or in a special position. Every pseudo-intellectual foolishly fashions himself as of that certain class.

But there are those of us that know, consciously or instinctually, that worrying about "collective well-being" too much is how you lose your freedoms, because eventually those in power reach the conclusion that all the retards are incapable of self-sufficiency and behavior, and strip everyone of various rights. I'm in favor of pulling the pendulum back and fixing society to where there's a balance, but I swear there's some that yearn for a hard clampdown. Some people can't or won't change, and forcing them to do so, instead of letting them face the consequences of their actions naturally or legally, is how you run the risk of trampling over others.

If all the bad people in society killed themselves then society's well being would improve.

Do you still not realize that the problem isn't bad actions but bad people? Even if you close one avenue of attack they will keep finding other ways to agitate and subvert.

Until the people who hold the bad ideas are either exiled or are so scared of consequences that they not only don't act on those bad ideas but break ties with those who do, there can never be peace.

Oh, I'm with you but banning the surgeries doesn't get rid of them either. That just further invigorates their zeal.

Everything we do to win will "invigorate their zeal". The gay commies have developed a vigilance and hyper-reactivity to any pushback against their agenda, and that is a position we need to adopt.

This is an issue where our side currently has the momentum and we need to get as much out of it as we can. The surface effect of banning mutilation cosmetic surgery is it may save a few children of liberals, but what it really does is put wins on the scoreboard and demoralizes the gay commies. We want THEM talking about how they need to move countries to get away from us, and not the other way around.

Help our friends, harm our enemies. All of the "reasoning" about "helping a vulnerable population" is just a pretext and cover story that we need to maintain to keep allegiance of the normies.

Personally, I'm a fan of eugenics. I don't want to save the children of liberals. I want those children gone and not procreating. They are failed genetics as far as I'm concerned.

This is the way. They'll use any trick in the book to evade straight up bans, but they lose all motivation to do that if Dr. Groomerstein is personally on the hook for the butchery.

Now let's just ban left wing ideology.

Alberta is like the Texas of Canada.

Now they just need to ban them for everybody over 18, imprison every therapist and doctor who ever referred someone for sex change surgery, imprison anybody who tries to subvert the spirit of banning transition surgery in any way, and bar anybody who protests from access to banks and credit cards, and things might start improving a little bit.

Pleasant surprise. Smith has been otherwise very disappointing.

Doubt this survives any court challenges with all of the Trudeau-appointed pozzed judges.

The Alberta Health agency is also full of commies top to bottom that will try to subvert this at every step.

In Canada, this is getting struck-down by courts unless they somehow manage to convince the Supreme Court by pointing-out the disastrous outcomes of ''gender-affirming'' policies in countries that actually documented it, and then banned it because of that ( like in England. No more ''gender-affirming'' kids into trans BS there. ).

Clownada enshrined into law that trannies were a protected class to the most absurd extent possible ( dissuading a kid from transitioning is morally-inversed as ''Conversion Therapy'', and banned ).
