More and more this country reminds me of the Soviet Union where the hardest working, best people were the most oppressed and the worst parts of society were elevated.

There's a general problem where laws apply to the law abiding, and the only thing that happens is more and more laws are added. I saw a talk once about how much easier it is to set up a scam business than it is to set up a legitimate business. So much paperwork and filings and taxes and shit to do things legally. With the fake business all you have to do is set up your website and start taking payments - and you don't even have to make it work because it's a scam.
while i had to go to DMV and spend 2-3 hours there getting an ID that lets me fly lol. and also gotta spend like 48 dollars too for something that should be provided to me for free.
Go to the check in desk, "did you pack your bags yourself" and other utterly stupid questions, go through "security" take off your shoes and your belt and dispose of any water bottles etc.
