It might have been a better idea to try this like, ten years ago when people actually used reddit. But I’m sure all the chat and pornbots will be willing to invest.
Need to look up options on shorting this shit.
I wonder if investors realize Reddit is yesterday's forum. Both yes and no seem possible to me.
Reddit still has a lot of traffic, and I think it can be a reliable cash cow for anyone that takes it over. It's still overall the best place for many hobbyist forums. Heavily censored, it seems like a safe enough place to park your ads. People can always come up with "outrage" screenshots, but I don't see any actual negative impacts on advertisers that appear amongst reddit feeds.
But I think long term, it's downhill, and they don't seem to be doing a lot to prevent that. I wouldn't call it innovative. The have made changes to try to pump their IPO, no doubt, but I don't see anything genuinely aimed at attracting more users. It was probably more important to sanitize for advertisers. They have a lot of users already.
The biggest evidence Reddit is Yesterday is that the kids are already onto better things: TikTok, Instagram, and Discord. Those kids aren't likely to "age in" to reddit. They're likely to keep their attentions with the platforms they're comfortable with.
I wonder if investors realize its a site for groomers and children to meet : Ghislaine Maxwell/Audrey Hale and many other kids were radicalized by the groomers on reddit :

I wonder if investors know that mods/admins posted child p**n to get conservatives subreddits banned.
I don't think investors give a shit unless a) it makes the news or b) it impacts revenue. Reddit has been avoiding the news by going on a massive censorship binge for years now.
True -
investors used to invest in marijuana businesses.
Obama rolled out his 'operation chokepoint' to crush funds related to that industry (despite it being legal at the state level).
We need conservatives who will use these same powers. Because communists using CP and grooming children into genital mutilation is worse than smoking marijuana.
Redditors will probably buy a lot of shares, their heads are so far up their own asses they still think they're relevant. Buying puts and taking Redditors money whole simultaneously watching that site shit the bed would be a glorious double whammy.
I honestly might do this.
Ahahaha I guess it's finally happening after years of speculation. I hope it crashes and burns so hard it'll break records. Eat shit.
They deserve nothing more
They deserve even less.
I want to see the porn percentage (60% or more I guarantee it)
Better now than never, I guess. It's an election year, which means recession is off the table and the feds will print money and cook stats to prop up the economy.
Are there ads on Reddit? I use Brave and haven't seen one. I'm wondering what their income model is.
They'll be like a post 3 down from a top that is an ad. Literally no reason to interact with it at all.
As if these broke fags could afford that, instead of working they are banning people for wrong think. If it werent for KIA and rule34 stuff I wouldnt even use it anymore.
Like everyone else is saying: this is like 10 years too late.
I wonder if it'd be possible to buy a portion and then sue for fiduciary dereliction on the basis of them filtering virtually all of the content on the site to a single political party's approval.
Reddit, the terrorist manufacturing site?
Wasn't Audrey Hale / Ghislaine Maxwell all radicalized on reddit?
