Grossed over double its budget in the US alone.
Meanwhile, the HiGhEsT GrOsSiNg FiLm By A bLaCk fEmAlE dIrEcToR is still HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS IN THE RED.
I don’t remember. Was that just some idiot fan crowing about the biggest opening from a black female director or did Disney actually put out that defense?

They can't help themselves.
It's "anyone running defense for Disney" saying that. Maybe it did gross higher than G-1, but does that even mean anything when G-1 substantially profits and Marvels substantially BURNS MONEY?
-1 Instantly topped my list as my favorite Godzilla period. Absolutely nailed the horror that is Godzilla and the toll it takes on people's minds.
I enjoy the Legendary for completely different reasons. Which is low thought, awesome monster fighting. Which is equally a part of Godzilla's history as the horror movies were.
Given the quality of pedowood movies lately, that's a compliment.
I second this. All around great movie. Well developed characters, even the minor ones.
I heard Stefan Molyneux make a decent case that since Godzilla wasn't a real creature (instant regeneration etc) it was a stand in for a representation of something else. He made the case it was feminism destroying Japan based on how it acted and the characters acted around it. Did you get that impression at all?
Kinda ironic that two of the successful movies are a giant lizard and the bomb that made him a giant this year /s
Don't forget the giant mushroom and a kids toy.
Beautiful. The usual suspects in the media will run interference citing streaming but that wouldn't matter if there were still stories being made that people actually want to see.
I see Oppenheimer with a healthy 336M but no Barbie (correct me if I'm wrong) which I would expect is the highest grosser of the whole year if not the decade so far-- as it caters directly to women children, their egos and materialism like an unholy feminist trinity
Barbie is the 6th highest grossing movie of all time, IIRC.
Lmao no way
I double checked. 14th. It was projected to get 6th but never did.
Napolean is probably the biggest Studio disappointment
All around completely terrible. You could tell even the actors didn't want to be there/know why they're there.
