Also you are outright lying about what the pope said but we can't really expect anything else from an unrepentant degenerate.
What he really said was the priests are not prohibited from blessing, which is the equivalent of good wishes but in a sacred context, faggot "couples". This is bad enough but that isn't anywhere near to allowing with faggot marriage.
You can do that. however the issue i brought up is religion in nature, so you bringing up your atheism was not only uncalled for (not needed) but it's not saying anything. you'd still be an asshole even if you weren't an atheist. or were you expecting me to be dumbfounded that someone could be a piece of shit and! be an atheist? either way this tells me nothing, and makes you look stupid.
Then your an asshole atheist that hates trannies and faggots. so... basically not all that different from a christian who does that then... so you being an atheist means nothing in this hypothetical.
again you don't wanna pull that card... you'd be axing like... 40-60% of believers. in my opinion. most of you guys cherry pick the bible anyways. so why does it matter if some people are believers but don't have a problem with gay people. you guys rag on me for being annoying. yet... why aren't your views mainstream? why do you hide your oh so moral views from other christians and in most of society? huh? kinda sounds like you guys got nowhere to go but here. just a guess.
so you know by doing this you remove half or more religious power. relegating you and your religion to a literal minority statues... well i admire your guts that's for damn sure.
The food laws are there because those animals are filthy and at the time eating them could kill you. Better to say God said so than to explain that to bronze age cavemen.
Cool... but that's the problem here. your explaining that now. but many people who follow the bible still follow outdated shit. and the point of that meme. was how you cherry pick what you do and do not follow, to fit your means. as i will go into later.
Women dressing like men leads to men dressing like women which leads to societal decay
Citations their buddy. i remember women as early as the... what? 40-50's? wearing pants. and it took a very long time for things to get degenerate. also i love how you police women on what to wear. you are a champion, for freedom of expression my dude.
lying. Adultery
Both bad things but... christians just like everybody else do it all the time. if you had to be 100% truthful... you and i would be kinda screwed. while yes lying is bad, but we all tell lies all the time for a... variety of reasons.
And as for cheating... yeah, alot of christians do that all the time too! so between all of this how can you judge gay people... when you lie. and other people cheat on eachother all the time?
Having one day of rest is good for every part of a person. An exhausted populace leads to, you guessed it, societal decay
Depends. were talking on a sunday here... and most jobs and places don't let their workers off on a sunday... you-you do know that right? so many christians are committing a sin by working on the sabbath. or sunday. not to mention some people may wanna work an additional day, to earn more money. so once again here, your explaining something that makes sense from the past. but not for today.
You know what really decays society? Homophiles and perverts being allowed to do anything they want between themselves, which leads to them doing whatever they want with children, with the might of the government protecting them because they are the government.
And ya just sinned. are you saying allowing 2. consenting adults to fuck behind closed doors leads to pedophilia? if so i need proof for that. also, what about straight couples who do the same? i know your sinning because you unknowingly backed yourself into a corner. if you lie to me and say straight couples don't molest kids. you sinned.
Once again the meme was showing hypocrisy. you explain why some of those things were necessary in the past. but i'm willing to bet you still do 1 or a few of those sins. and the point of the meme was how christians like yourself already cherry pick the bible. if you didn't cherry pick it, and followed the rules to the letter. i could atleast commend you for being consistent. but you can't pick and choose which parts of the bible you want to legally enforce... other wise you just look like an asshole.
first off all... explain how i am trying to remove myself from personal responability?
Also. just fucking go! i don't know where you stand religiously or not. but it seems to me! like your a non believer, that aligns with christian believes. i can get that. but my problem here is... if you don't care what christian think. then why did you throw this shit in my post?
My better question is should we as Christians follow the law? I always felt that Christ’s fulfillment meant we are free from those rules. Granted I’m no theologian so any insight you have would be appreciated. I know he gave us the greatest commandment which covers everything I’d say
The next couple sentences in Matthew 5 pretty much kick that to the curb.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 5:19
The back half of Matthew 5 is taking the Hebrew to task for being hypocrites. He never says the law is wrong. Just that they aren't living up to it, and then sets an EVEN HIGHER standard.
Most Christians take Jesus saying that nothing that goes into your mouth makes you unclean to mean cleanliness laws no longer apply. Even saying he wasn't abolishing the law, he changed the rules on divorce.
So any of the books Paul wrote shouldn’t be considered biblical?
They aren't the Sermons, and calling Paul "the apostle" is like saying everyone at Lambeau deserves a superbowl ring for being really loud (which is basically all Paul was, figuratively).
But how does that contribute to your argument that I'm wrong.
Christ's sermons in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke do not support the later Pauline assertion that Christ was the end of the law.
I am saying bluntly, your (like many) rejection of the majority of the Mitzvot is, well, blasphemous catholic hypocrisy. A marketing decision by a 1st century bullshit artist who called himself an apostle despite not being at the proverbial table.
I have a friend who is a messianic Jew. Should we all be like that as Christians? Christ definitely said he didn’t come to destroy but to fulfill the law. Like with eating pork, I always saw the vision that Peter had to be permission
Christians should aim to exceed the Jewish by not only keeping the law but also forsaking malice for forgiveness. Basically that even the crude law of Moses was just a tool for the times. Christians are not freed of it, rather they are tasked by Christ to transcend it. That simply living by the letter of the law isn't sufficient.
Now, on that note...
There are a couple items in Leviticus that I'm prepared to say probably could be scratched out, like the prohibitions on certain foods. Any time Leviticus marks something EXTERNAL TO HUMAN NATURE AND BEHAVIOR as bad, it is borne out of primitive science, and fair game for scrutiny.
We knew back then that trichinosis existed, but we couldn't explain what it was, so it was lumped into the category of things which are simply bad.
Paul is the only reason there are still jews today..... If it wasn't for paul separating the Christians from jews there would be no jews....Who shaped Christianity today? Paul and the catholic church..... A new covenant.... and the "mitzvah, any commandment, ordinance, law, or statute contained in the Torah (first five books of the Bible) and, for that reason, to be observed by all practicing Jews" ya i reject that shit.....
Anyone ever notice that people start shit with Christians over the Old Testament but never Jews? It's even funnier because atheist and agnostic people would generally believe Jews are the ones who wrote all the stuff they are complaining about.
Well that’s the Mosaic Law, but I’m not going to interrupt a gay wedding ceremony. I wouldn’t attend a church that condoned it and my view of marriage will always be a man and a woman. It is legal and I’m not making any efforts to stop it. I know this is your pet cause so I’m sure you will have more wonderful messages for us. I was fine with the “we just want to be left alone” or “don’t bother us and we won’t bother you” mentality the gay activists had in the 90s. Massive overrepresentation in media and constant news articles popping up doesn’t help. I genuinely have zero interest in lgbt content or stories but they make it hard to ignore. A tiny percent of the population gets way more attention than is necessary.
Jesus did say a man shall leave his house and find a wife and discussed marriage as a union of a man and woman. Granted I know you think the Bible is a bunch of fairy tales. I won’t shut up about it. I’m an imperfect person that is full of sin. Doesn’t mean I’m not aware of what I should and shouldn’t do.
oh no no you're more then free to make your peace here man. i just disagree... with all of it. even a few atheist here who align with ya on the topic but the thing here is... i just don't give a fuck. but yeah i'm not a huge fan of gay content either, some lesbian stuff here and there are fine. but 2 dudes... yeah that stuff just make me sick to my stomach.
Believe me, I know where you stand. I’ve seen you bring it up before about there being gay or gay affirming Christians. Now I’ve discussed the issue with some and I’m not going to bug them about it unless they want a discussion. They believe salvation is through Christ. Granted I’ve seen Christian’s who approve of adultery or any other thing and justify it. I used to be your opposite and really tell everyone about the Bible whether they wanted to hear it or not. At a company outing a gay coworker told me about his church that approves of homosexuality. I’m just said that’s nice because I’m not going to attack him or tell him what I think unless he wanted a discussion.
i see but the problem here is... 99.99% of christains are in the wrong about the bible. mainly how they cherry pick it. out of the 99.99% of christians. they will tell you, you included, what bible verse resonated with them the most. and which chapters and scriptures they apply to their lives. see the issue there? they openly cherry pick. so when people now all of a sudden say:
"We should follow the bible because it is true... oh, those versus that are out dated even by our standards? no no those get left behind. i'm talking about the ones for gay people... yeah those parts are the ones we should legally enforce, not the other goofy stuff"
So my problem here is you can't cherry pick which parts of the bible to follow. and enforce that upon others. if your not gonna follow the bible 1 to 1. even the crazy's who are more obsessed with religion, don't follow their book 1 to 1 either... that should already tell you what you need to know about that.
Ok it shouldn’t be forced on people who aren’t believers. That is wrong. As for your point, I would need a more knowledgeable person to break it all down but the Christian’s who are fine with homosexuality can also be accused of cherry picking and going along with the trendy world. But I’m all for leaving people alone who aren’t interested. My only annoyance with the lgbt movement is the massive over representation in media for a relatively small percent of the earth’s population. there are plenty of old shows to watch and books to read. Not saying that’s my main reason for watching older stuff but as I get older a wholesome show like Little House on the Prairie really appeals to me.
I can answer whatever questions I can but there are things about the Old Testament that don’t quite apply to Christians today but I’m not the best to explain that. Jesus said a man shall leave his house and find a wife so that’s enough for me to see that heterosexuality is the norm. Yes, you don’t agree. I get you hate the Bible, Christianity, and the church/religions. Nothing I’m going to say will change your mind and nothing you say on the topic will change mine so I think discussing gaming or anime or nerd stuff is best. I’ll avoid responding to your religious posts since we have said our piece
oh no no i like these little spats. mainly because you have to get other people to help make your case. i find that to be adorable. as for what you said earlier... i kinda agree with over rep of gay people in the media... kinda?
And heterosexuality is fine. so is homosexuality. i view them as both normal. so which ever someone is, is of no concern with me. as for your christians who support gay shit, because cherry picking the bible is... "trendy" plenty of stuff in the NT that alot of christians don't follow already. again the cool thing with the bible is. if your left leaning, take shit out of context, the bible is for you. if your right leaning, take shit out of context and or cherry pick, the bible is for you.
So the whole cherry picking concept applies to. once again, 99.99% of christians. if you wanna know more on the subject matter you should watch some atheist videos on youtube. they've told me more about religion then i ever learned when i was briefly a christian when i was a child.
Side note*
I will be responding to any and all religious post. so, yeah...
This is why I always read and study the Bible. I’ll never know it all. I was thinking that I could talk to people who have a more theological background but whether I say it or someone else does you will disregard it so it’s pointless. I’m willing to make arguments but talking to you is like talking to a wall just like you pushing your love of homosexuality on me is pointless. No thanks on the atheist videos. I’ve talked to enough atheists in life. Not I tweeted to hear someone who hates the Bible tell me about the Bible lol. By all means, respond to whatever you want. If you think homosexuality is normal then more power to you. Nothing either of us can say will change each others mind.
Like I said from now on with you strictly nerd stuff. You have no real interest in Christianity besides being the edgy troll you can find all over the internet and I have zero interest in atheism because I believe we definitely have an eternal soul along with other supernatural experiences I’ve had that lead me to believe at the very least there is more than our 3D reality.
well i can kinda agree on their's probably something more then this world... but the thing for me that kinda sooth me into the whole... i guess? atheism was the concept of death. at an early age. i understood what being born was. but never... being unborn, know what i mean? i couldn't fathom like... dying.
So when the concept of heaving was told to me i thought "wow! this is great..."
But then i realized... what if i died, before my family. what if they don't go to heaven with me. and then i thought about stuff. like my consoles. and, tv shows. and... being alive. this experience i was barely starting to know... would be upended. i wouldn't see new things anymore. see how people changed over the years etc.
so the concept of the after life... really wasn't soothing to me. because i guess i would leave my life behind. but as far as the whole god thing went... i believed. but when i was told he does this. and can do that! but... their was still violence in the world. people born and die under such strange and cruel circumstances... it became harder and harder to believe. when people would often times beg! and not be heard. but stop me if you heard of this one before.
Either god exist. and he chooses not to do anything.
or
He doesn't exist.
These were my only options. because i had no other way. to explain why bad things happen in this world. and ever since i've just been really speculative of... well, any religion. which is why i often times debate with believers. even if i know they're not gonna chance faith.
But whatever man you do you and feel free to ignore me but i won't ignore you.
He said a priest can bless an individual even if he was in a gay marriage not that they can bless the union.
Definitely in the wrong direction but not what people are saying, even the radio station I'm listening in the morning was saying that the pope was blessing gay couples - implying gay marriage.
Yea the media is really making this something that it’s not. Although I keep hearing that the church needs to “evolve”, but that’s not the way it works. The church shouldn’t be conforming to the world
Gays have the same rights as everyone else. Marriage is between a man and a woman, a gay man is free to marry a woman just a straight man.
For gays to make their case they had to redefine what marriage is, changing the language in order to make it seem like they are oppressed. They could have just called it something else and it would have been fine. In California it was civil union for a long time.
Also, how others have mentioned the pope did not allow gay marriage yet, just allows priests to bless individuals even if they are in a a gay union, not the union itself. Basically wishing them good will.
I agree, as long as they also repent and try not to sin. Churches did a very bad job with gays, it was uncomfortable so they pushed them away instead of encouraging them to join the Church and manage their sin rather then give in to it.
That was the period of tolerance, I may not agree but what you do is your business ended about 10 years ago, now I have to affirm or I get fired, schools are pushing it on kids, quotas for LGBTQ2SPI+ and of course you are not allowed to critique anything related to the alphabet people.
We are at the ridiculous point in time that if I don't like playing games with gay stuff in it you are a bigot and you are not even allowed to remove it in your single player game.
weird question to ask but... if god were real and helped people and wasn't a dick i would be eternally grateful that god exist... but we don't live in that world so i'm more like meh. shit happens that's life.
Well, I do oppose arrogance, lying, adultery, and unnecessary working on Sundays.
As for bacon and shrimp cocktail, Acts 10:13-15 is instructive.
I would like to subscribe to your newsletter, please.
Cool, but did god make Pork and Shrimp clean?
I oppose gay rights because sodomites are irresolute disease ridden pedos whose existence brings up a perfectly natural reaction of visceral disgust in normal people.
Also you are outright lying about what the pope said but we can't really expect anything else from an unrepentant degenerate.
What he really said was the priests are not prohibited from blessing, which is the equivalent of good wishes but in a sacred context, faggot "couples". This is bad enough but that isn't anywhere near to allowing with faggot marriage.
my bad should've done my due diligence, that's on me.
However you are a homophobic piece of shit so if i trigger people like you my little missteps were all worth it then :)
im atheist and i oppose gay rights because i hate gays.
Cry more, atheist subhuman. Those who keep the faith have never listened to that vile heretic.
many people do. alot of christian are in support of gay marriage and those christians are my people.
Then they're fakes. Non believers.
again you don't wanna pull that card... you'd be axing like...
Sure it'd be about half. So what?
so you know by doing this you remove half or more religious power. relegating you and your religion to a literal minority statues... well i admire your guts that's for damn sure.
Oh I see the problem. You're confusing religion with democracy. Religion is about being morally correct, not pandering to the crass proles.
So numbers don't matter to you then. do i have that correct?
Cool... but that's the problem here. your explaining that now. but many people who follow the bible still follow outdated shit. and the point of that meme. was how you cherry pick what you do and do not follow, to fit your means. as i will go into later.

All of those are jew things that your bring up tho faggolot? I don't see new test in there..... Try again with your troll
Doesn't help many of those christian still follow both the old and new testament when they wanna make a point or enforce laws onto people.
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." -Matthew 5:17
Your protestations to the contrary are Pauline garbage. Paul is to Christ what Kathleen Kennedy is to Star Wars.
My better question is should we as Christians follow the law? I always felt that Christ’s fulfillment meant we are free from those rules. Granted I’m no theologian so any insight you have would be appreciated. I know he gave us the greatest commandment which covers everything I’d say

Read Romans
1213 and get back to me.E: daggumit, my memory was off. Both are good passages though.
Read it. Importantly points about loving one another.
My memory was a bit off. The bit about submitting to authority is in Romans 13, but both passages are good.
Most Christians take Jesus saying that nothing that goes into your mouth makes you unclean to mean cleanliness laws no longer apply. Even saying he wasn't abolishing the law, he changed the rules on divorce.
They aren't the Sermons, and calling Paul "the apostle" is like saying everyone at Lambeau deserves a superbowl ring for being really loud (which is basically all Paul was, figuratively).
You're wrong
In what way?
I only regard the Gospels as foundational. Everything after is fanfiction, as canonical as the Book of Mormon.
Remember: I AM QUAKER. From my perspective the Catholic church of Peter and Paul is itself a perversion of the original faith.
How many books got taken out by the roman catholic church when they standardized the bible? I don't see the book of enoch in there
I think the Ethiopian church is the only one that has Book of Enoch in it’s Bible
Book of Enoch has more info in it about actual kingdom of heaven than all the others and the darkies are the only ones who kept it.... Brilliant
I read it about two years ago. Very interesting and honestly surprised it wasn’t in the Bible
But how does that contribute to your argument that I'm wrong.

already done there buddy.

And the Catholic Church didn’t approve of gay marriage. They said the stance on marriage is still the same.
The church shouldn’t be conforming to the world
funny since that's how religion has worked since... forever. it's always been at the whims of the public.
Shouldn’t be but yea it’s definitely been guilty of that.
yeah, i guess you can say that's a kink in your armor when it comes to religion.
Basically wishing them good will.
eh i like having gay people to blessed in a church like straight people. it's more fitting.
I agree, as long as they also repent and try not to sin. Churches did a very bad job with gays, it was uncomfortable so they pushed them away instead of encouraging them to join the Church and manage their sin rather then give in to it.
well thank god i don't believe in your religion buddy. other wise i would liable to agree with you... but, being gay is not a sin, nor is it bad.
Being gay is not a sin but same-sex relations are and sin is bad by definition.
yes... according to your bible. but what if most people don't care, and consider you to be wrong?
That was the period of tolerance, I may not agree but what you do is your business ended about 10 years ago, now I have to affirm or I get fired, schools are pushing it on kids, quotas for LGBTQ2SPI+ and of course you are not allowed to critique anything related to the alphabet people.
We are at the ridiculous point in time that if I don't like playing games with gay stuff in it you are a bigot and you are not even allowed to remove it in your single player game.
Question are you happy god doesn't exist or are you mad about it?
weird question to ask but... if god were real and helped people and wasn't a dick i would be eternally grateful that god exist... but we don't live in that world so i'm more like meh. shit happens that's life.
