Permabanned from a longtime account on my primary subreddit, and given an administrative sitewide temp ban for a few days for something that is stupid.
If you've heard of the Matt Araiza situation, you'll probably have an idea of how this happened. I was asking if we had known anything more about the girl who had lied about the whole thing or if she was getting off scot free. Permabanned for doxing (or attempted doxing, something stupid). This was buried deep on a thread about it, with a couple upvotes, and I got permabanned for it. When I asked why they were protecting the identity of a liar willing to ruin someone's life, boom this morning hit with a temp ban across the entire site. Oh well. My account was definitely not targeted for any other reason because I avoid politics entirely on that stupid site, so here I am.
(All the girls information, her face and name are online and published by papers that can be hit with libel, as I would later learn)
ah reddit. The first place i ever got banned on (well banned on a subreddit at least) because i told a bunch of whales that they were fat not because of genetics but because they were lazy and ate too much.
Now that's impressive right there!
There is something to be said for not letting them maintain a perfect echo chamber. But yes, I largely agree. Do not go to reddit assuming good faith interactions or for the level of discourse to be what it was 10 years ago. Only go there if you are completely aware you are behind enemy lines to either promote alternatives or disrupt them.
Reddit did bungle it big time when they updated the block feature to allow random users to censor threads. Assuming that's what happened, that's on the admins not the moderators.
The perma subreddit ban is from the mods of the subreddit. As you know redditor mods are the most disgusting humans that exist. Full of trannys, pedos and other degenerates.
The sitewide temp ban is probably due to them reporting you asking about your ban. That is reddit admins and the ones involved in that kind of stuff fall into the same cluster and some are quite close friends. See Ammie Challenor's situation.
Thinking about it a bit more, the last one could be by the AEO (anti evil operation) team, which are just Indians following the book. So if you used any "nono" word you get a ban by them. I know that people use AOE reports for fun on leftists sub when they say "Kicking a Nazi in the face is a good thing", and AEO does ban those things. I might or might not have gotten someone banned via AEO who said that Khadgar (from Warcraft) "has a totally punchable face!".
Yeah I don't know what the reason for me being sitewide banned would be. I only replied to the mod messages, two of them, and neither was a fuck you message. No nono words either. Probably just dinged somebodies ego lol
Who?
Football punter was accused of rape. Got fired. It has become apparent to investigators that sex was consensual. Accuser has now dropped her civil suit against him. He will not pursue defamation against her.
What a dumbfuck. He absolutely should.
Supposedly he has kept an option open to sue the accuser's lawyer? Not sure how that would work.
I'm sure it's just like the Trevor Bauer situation. She probably isn't worth a dime, therefore it's not worth it.
Funny, just recently I got a similar ban when arguing about abortion. They said abortion wasn't violence, so I told them to abort themselves. I was banned for threatening violence lol.
Now that's pretty funny. I wish I had said something like that, not worth getting banned over the most milquetoast statement ever.
I'm proud to say I never had a reddit account, I only lurked and only made an account on here.
As looking in from the outside, you guys on reddit had to walk on eggshells SO much that it killed a lot of conversations early, hell from some of my posts I'd have been banned years ago.
Let me tell you of a time.
A time filled with CoonTown, FatPeopleHate, etc.
A time when you could speak ill of the Left's sacred cows.
When I was on five years ago, I said what I wanted, more or less. No gamer words and that was about it.
It's gotten progressively worse.
I wasn't even doing stuff that matters. Just following a game and the college football and basketball subreddits. I hadn't even made a post lol. No idea why someone thought a singular message constituted harassment unless it ruined their ego for some reason.
Be proud.
I got a sitewide admin ban on all accounts for stating that heterosexuality is normal and all the rest are evolutionary dead ends.
It's reddit. A place where you can call someone a retard and get permabanned but whole subs dedicated to sex offender support, hating white people, grave dancing etc are perfectly fine.
No, r/CFB. NFL I don't really care about that much. The CFB one confused me just because we already know who she is and she isn't a minor anymore, we have her name now.
My only (7-day) ban came when I asked if it would be a good thing for the US to start bombing some of its "less desirable" states like Ukraine was.
Haven't been back since.
That's pretty good lmao. This one is tame compared to yours lol
When an account gets banned, just make another one and start all over again. You should have made it a habit by now to park your account after a certain number of points. I broke my own rule when my last account became a success, but when it became targeted by the admins (lol) for spurious reasons, I just parked it, made a new account and continued where I left off.
It's just internet points. No one cares. Your name recognition will take a nosedive, but they're strangers, anyway. There are so many names, who can really keep them apart?
If someone recognizes my name then they have a serious addiction. I've never posted anything other than a few comments here or there.
Reddit was petty 'village mentality' social control from the very beginning. The filter bubble system actively seeks to push out errant thoughts and users. It was supposed to be against spam, but in reality it was just downvoting the people you disagreed with.
Make a new account and get over being banned by 'admins'. All those 'admins' have long since been turned into jaded, cynical self-flagellating internet freaks. They lord over millions of users. A single user means absolutely nothing to them and you should return the favor.
Got perma banned months back for writing "the age of women is over, the time of the women+ has come".
In retrospect I should thank the tranny janny for getting me to stop using that shit hole. It's telling that the posts on AHS have slowed so much as they've banned virtually every decent sub that isn't strictly apolitical.
Lol true. I only stick to a few small subs for stuff that I am involved in directly. No point in even trying things other than on .win.
No one cares about your reddit drama. Spin up a new account and go back.
I’ve been permabanned for 3 years. You get used to it.
