The Best 30-Minute Explanation of Marxism I Have Ever Heard
Dr. James Lindsay on Marxism"Woke, a culture war against Europe"this conference was organised by the "Identity and Democracy Foundation"https://id-foundation.eu and MEP Tom Vandendriessche at the European Parliament on the 30th of March 2023Contents-------...
If anyone truly wants to understand Marxism, just read the communist manifesto. I couldn't help but realize literally everything evil that Marx accuses capitalism to be responsible for is actually exactly what Marxism is responsible for.
I guess this is where his "All I know is that I'm not a marxist" quotes comes into play right? Not that I blame him if he meant it, that's lowkey admitting that he created a monster.
Thank you. More people need to realize this. I was just talking about Marx's ten pillars of communism, and how much of it has been implemented in the "capitalist" system the commies hate.
Point one is basically "own nothing and be happy," then you have heavy progressive income tax, fiat currency via state monopoly, communication/transport/education in the hands of the state, same for jobs, doing away with "rural," and more.
We're a more Marxist society than we are a capitalist one at this point, and the commies don't realize it because communists don't fucking know what communism is. Which is part of what makes them so dangerous; they usually believe what they're saying, because they're retarded and miseducated. If communists actually understood communism it would be an easier argument to have.
Well, Communism is just the final end-point of Capitalism. (according to Marx, strange how that works...)
If course he'd say that because he wanted communism to sound inevitable. If you read Marx he also literally described every problem of capitalism as actually what communism causes. He was a jew after all. Duplicity if the name of the game.
I like his explanations on the subject, however the culture has shifted to the point where marxism is not seen as a negative. So it no longer matters that woke = marxism. It would have helped 10 years ago but it is pointless now.
Communism was much worse then the Nazis but we never treated the 2 ideologies in the same manner. This puts in to perspective how long in advance it was set up.
Someone needs to run for president on this platform: "MAKE MARXISM SCUM AGAIN"
Ronald Reagan, is that you?
He does great work and should be fully supported in his mission to educate the masses about marxist retardation.
But his solution of "rewind time to before obama" is also retarded. The problem isn't 5 or even 50 years old. It is closer to 500 years old.
Around then was when the shift started away from a manly duty to a higher ideal (God, king, nation, bloodline) and toward a womanly/childish notion of "happiness" being the most important aspiration.
James thinks "true liberalism" has never been tried.
Huh, that's oddly familiar, can't quite put my finger on it hmm......
Not gonna lie, I value my time too much for a thirty minute video.
Actual printed articles can be read so much more quickly and easily.
Are you aware that you're posting a comment on the internet?
See my other comment in the thread. Typing a few sentences takes a minute or so.
Again, podcast. Same problem as a video. It's a lengthy time investment for the consumer, to save time for the creator to not have to type it up and present it in writing.
I view that as being backwards.
I might be standing here texting while making sure our dumbass contractors don't break a high voltage power supply, but that doesn't mean I'm going to engage with something that just fundamentally doesn't respect my time.
It's not just the time investment, its the lack of searchability and non-linearity for audio and video. You can jump around in text very easily, allowing easy referencing of different parts. Thus arguments and counter arguments are better and more thought out.
Take notes nigga
Put on the podcast while you work out or mow the lawn or drive
I like podcasts fine because I can listen to them while I drive or walk.
Watch at 1.5 to 2x speed
After the last video of his that I watched, I'm not interested in wasting my time and brain cells again. He has some really long-winded and weird rhetoric that fails to reach an actual point, especially to justify the amount of time he spends prattling.
Maybe that was an isolated case from the last video I watched though, I dunno. (Where he was trying to draw some connection between Gnosticism and the modern woke)
I found the explanation of Gnostic heresies and their parallels with the cult of woke to be fairly enlightening.
Now, was the talk anything I can really put into practice? Is it more practically useful than calling wokism a modern Gnostic heresy based on secret knowledge which is actually false? Perhaps not.
It's a really fucking good video, but you do you...
Yes, this is a brilliant speech and compresses a lot of complexity into something short enough that even a normie could grasp it.
