They are probably going to demand that the British government insulate them from any debt or other reprisal to the point where credit agency's are forced to tell people demanding the debt affect the band to go fuck themselves.
They'll probably not only have to pay (as they breached a contract) and be shunned from performing in any similar countries, but this'll probably hit them hard in the future.
Breaching contracts is a serious deal an you wiping your ass with one for cheap infamy attention is going to have others reluctant to sign anything with them knowing how easily they disregard them.

You think women will understand men's reluctance to marry them if we put it in these terms?
No, because the ones that can understand this are already in committed relationships raising their kids the best they can
The REST is the problem, and most will never understand this unless they get lucky and experience a 'bitch slap event' that makes them reevaluate their lives or when they're old and alone with their dozens of cats.
Song streaming is basically a pittance of any musical groups money to the point of basically being more of an advertisement rather than an income source.
Its all in touring, which they can't do from prison.
If you're a tourist in a country, or a green-card worker like I imagine these performers would've been, you're subject to both your own country's laws, AND the country you happen to be in's laws. It's not a choice, it's mandatory.
They very knowingly broke the law. They did so specifically to show off the fact they were breaking the law. They were not attempting to protest the law or evoke civic change (and even if they were, they're outside agents trying to meddle in another country's politics for no reason), just stirring trouble for the sake of being little shits who seek to ruin things for everyone.
They got their music festival shut down. I'm sure the fans of the other bands, and even of their band, were super happy to be sent home without seeing their favorite stars, and possibly harassed by cops. They will pay nothing since foreign suing is often limited to only if you ever go back to that country, so only their fans, and third parties not fans of them but harmed by them in the crossfire, will be punished.
Make sense, SEA hate one another by default and from my experience visiting this countries i got to say singapore is the most insufferably insecure out of all of them.

Contracts no longer work with women. They will claim they signed it under duress lol.
Which is why prenups are worthless. They're regularly thrown out if they're less favorable to the woman than the standard divorce rape.

Well, that's how you do it. Hard to root against Malaysia in this one.
Respect other countries and their cultures.
Fuck around and find out.
Lock them up.
You make martyrs out of them if you lock them up, even get more songs streamed due to publicity, this way is better.

Why not both?
It costs money keeping them in prison, I would rather they paid us money instead.
Lock them down.
Hope it bankrupts them
