Amazing, something good happened for a change.

The Trump-appointed judge

I love how they try to poison the well. JUDGE APPOINTED BY BLUMPF. BLUMPF BAD!

move could upend years of efforts to enhance coordination between the government and social media companies.

This could upend years of effort to try to enhance censorship of the speech of subjects. Quite disastrous.

The injunction came in response to a lawsuit brought by Republican attorneys general in Louisiana and Missouri, who allege that government officials went too far in their efforts to encourage social media companies to address posts that they worried could contribute to vaccine hesitancy during the pandemic or upend elections.

They have a new euphemism for censorship: address.

after revelations that Russian actors had sowed disinformation on American social sites during the 2016 election.

Like the wage gap, they'll cling to their lies until they drop dead.

"Deep state” refers the unsubstantiated idea, frequently invoked by Trump, that a group of bureaucrats is working to undermine elected officials in order to shape government policy.

Unsubstantiated. Blumpf.

This is what I've been thinking. There have been a number of "victories" within the last week or so that aren't going to amount to anything. They are, at best, openly confirming what many of us have known all along.

New official report says they were spying on Trump! But nothing happens. New hearing shows that Biden and his son have been making corrupt business deals. But nothing happens. SCOTUS rules affirmative action unconstitutional! But not only does that not help those of us that have suffered from this practice, it won't actually stop affirmative action from being practiced.

Let's not get complacent just because we've heard some pleasant headlines and didn't have to see rainbow logos this year.

Had to be today this was announced lol

Hopefully this gets some enforcement though litigation as if companies just sue if agencies pressure them for censorship it'll REALLY hurt their psy op programs.

Translation: US government agencies now have to find more clandestine ways to censor people on social media.

Most government censorship is already laundered through NGOs and academia.

Sadly true. Power Laundering is a real thing.

to enhance coordination between the government and social media companies

one has to wonder why that is a thing at all. I mean, I know why but it shouldn't be a thing.
