‘Hey Jonathan. Based on your feedback, I have just cancelled your subscription,’ was the reply from Bonnie, the Tractive customer service agent, whose signature was adorned with three rainbows. ‘Wishing you a wonderful day,’ she added.
Besides the groomer angle, this just pisses me off in general. This is what happens when you let losers and weaklings take over.
Oh, I'm not saying that I agree with him (personally, I would never use a device like this, anyway), but I just thought it was funny, which, I assume, is what he was at least partly going for, when writing it...
So I agree with you, but it's another case of "buyer beware"/"bow to wokeness, shut up and don't complain, or else"...
Bella has thus far kept her views on Pride to herself, but I’ve been in London for a few days and confess I am weary of Pride paraphernalia and flags. So on her behalf I wrote to Tractive, perhaps a little bad tempered. I suggested they stick to their business tracking pets, and spare us their obnoxious virtue signalling. Tractive’s reaction was to immediately cancel Bella.

This just sounds like shitty AI causing problems. He said himself that it was a negative email, and there's a good chance he used the word "canceled" in it. Some machine somewhere probably interpreted that as "customer wants to cancel subscription". He didn't even try to follow up, apparently. I'm guessing "Bonnie" doesn't exist.
I'm somewhat skeptical. Although I do encourage everyone to shy away from companies that push pride.
Good... Shouldn't everyone be boycotting companies that support pride?
"pride" and "LGBT" are just the politically correct terms for pedophilia.
they've made that very clear.
any company that supports pride is supporting pedophilia, and deserves to be cancelled.
I've said this a half dozen times across multiple sites: boycotts only work when you have a viable alternative.
A viable alternative to a GPS tracker on your dog's collar? Damn, what ever did people do before...
Yeah, yeah, keep on eye on your damned dog. But even living in a small town, that seems to be too much for people.

Should I not have unsubscribed from the Petco mailing list with the reason given "cool it with the fag shit"? Was that wrong of me?
I am just going to have to plead ignorance on this one.
He should have said he was a muslim and that they have discriminated against him and he will be taking them to court.
How the fuck is a gps tracker a subscription service.
Presumably needs to report the GPS data through a cell connection.

Surely the company would at least require a human confirmation before they'd cancel taking someone's money?
It's because this explanation is wishful thinking
That actually does sound plausible, I hope the companies image suffers regardless of it though.
Lol no it's a woke customer service rep
