The far-left NDP leader, chosen because he's a brown guy in a turban, has also been completely useless and has walked lockstep with Trudeau since he took over- before the NDP would pull at the Liberals from the left and be more combative. The NDP used to often cause enough left-wing vote split for the Conservatives to take power but since they're just Liberal-lite most are just going with the Libs.
