Woman accusing Tucker Carlson of harassment never met him IRL. That mysteriously goes unmentioned in this New York Times story. (twitter.com)

https://www.businessinsider.com/fox-news-producer-mocked-jewish-employees-lawsuit-alleges-2023-3

"Her lawsuit claims that she and other Jewish employees were repeatedly discriminated against for being Jewish."

Really it is more notable when this kind of thing happens and it isn't one of a very prolific 2% of the population.

I do not understand this reference.

It is a reference to when you see some bullshit study or lawsuit and then go look the person up on wikipedia and find their early life section says 'born into a Jewish household' or some similar variation at a rate which greatly exceeds their less than 2% fraction of the US population.

Once you've noticed that, there are a few possible answers to the question 'why though' that will pretty much decide which kind of right winger you turn into.

It's a... I'd say joke, but more noticing patterns in things where people with -berg or -stein, etc, tend to be jews, and under early life sections on wiki it always mentions a Jewish parent (usually mom), etc.

Jewish parent (usually mom)

Ugh. I had a friend that married a Jewish chick. She was basically an obnoxious stereotype of what you would imagine the mom from the Goldbergs to be like if she was in her late 20's.

Awful, and was probably the main reason the guy just cut off contact from out of the blue one day.

It’s a very pervasive characteristic to the point where it is shockingly rare to find a Jewish woman who isn’t like that.

Can be tricky to tell sometimes however, since some of the surnames are also common amongst those of German origin.

Some are not even remotely subtle though. IE, various surnames that include "gold" in the name.

(usually mom)

That's because subversion is so engrained in the culture, they need to track culture/ethnicity by matrilineal lines, as an anti-cuckoldry measure.

And you have newspapers that run with these stories before even looking at proof

They solicit and create these stories.

And honestly how can a take seriously a paper that reports a woman making an accusation against Trump when that paper has a daily article about how evil he is

They've held the opinion for about 20 years at least that pushing the narrative > the truth.

It's been much longer than that, but the people running things were much smarter and better at hiding it than they are now.

Well, I think it was "slightly" more recent that it become so ingrained with almost every journalist. Used to be that you still at least had a reasonably large margin at more local and some national levels where some journalists showed some integrity (80's-90's being the tail end of this), but that number shrank to almost nothing within the last 20 years.

We shouldn’t “believe” anyone. We are a divided society with no hope of cultural reconciliation or compromise. So every claim and accusation should require empirical evidence. Because you cannot trust the word of someone who wants you dead.

There has always been social power behind these claims which attracted certain groups however many places around the world have added financial incentives to such claims which unsurprisingly causes an increase in said claims being made.

It's like if you were to pay the boy who cried wolf every time a cry was made but put no effort into verifying any factual integrity regardless of the frequency increase and sudden bankruptcy it caused the funding body.

She's obviously an entryist plant from the DNC.

Wait and see. She will do no discerrnible job after this and yet will end up in a massive property with a large permanant income. Just like Anita Hill

Anybody who has dealt with women online in the last decade knows you don't have to be in the same room or even have any contact with them to be guilty of harassment.
