If going to poorer countries allow these women to find such a man, then why shouldn't they?
If anything, I think our government should realize how difficult it is for men and women to find relationships in our own countries so they should start making it way easier for our citizens to move to other countries. I think the government should push companies to promote more International Mobile Jobs where people work from anywhere in the world for American companies without tax implications. The government should start negotiating good trade-agreements for easy semi-permanent visitor visas with a lot of countries that are destinations for finding partners like Thailand, etc... That way more Americans, men and women, can get jobs to support them while they live in different countries to "find love".

Her husband was some blue-collar worker. Fairly fit, in-shape guy. He apparently lost his job then became alcoholic and committed suicide.
