Like 80% of the Japanese population was jabbed in the preceding months. No one can convince me it wasn't what killed her.

Even in such an obvious case, the evaluation committee, made up of a group of amateur academics paid for by the government declared that they could not evaluate causation due to the lack of information.
For comparison, it seems like the '2000' deaths number comes from their equivalent of VAERS, to my understanding...? Which if their system is anything like VAERS, means that it's already massively undercounted, from anywhere between 10x-100x. Given that one of the Veritas leaks suggested that a major factor in underreporting to VAERS was the burdensome bureaucracy of filing a report (half an hour in the day of a busy clinician), and also that Japan is the very home of burdensome bureaucracy, I'm prepared to believe that similar underreporting is going on.
Normies are shielded from the real number of deaths by 2-3 layers of implausible deniability. 1 death is a number you clutch to heart if you're fully paid up to all things Safe and Effective.
