What about the people who don't want society to collapse but think it will anyways?
My life is pretty good without collapse, and I can't imagine it being better post-collapse. I am and always was a nerd, so in any sort of survivalist situation I'm going to be near the bottom of the totem pole. But I also don't want to be the Venezuelans who break into the zoo because they're starving.
You summed up my personal position.
Some people here want to accelerate to the collapse but I know that it won't do anything but completely ruin my quality of life.
No way my quality of life increases after a collapse.

Traditionally, this is why it’s good to have children. They force you to contemplate a future beyond your own.

I'm an accelerationist precisely because I have children. My own present level of comfort is meaningless compared to ensuring the future is clear of the leftist filth who presently pollute the nation.
The fight is inevitable, so the sooner it starts the sooner it's finished.
Man, I feel you on that one, but I'd rather figure out how to correct the situation rather than to just give in to despair. Can we at least take away their rights first before we give up?
That said, if we need a root canal than better to do it now than later. Quality of life suffers in the short term, but putting it off doesn't make things any better.
Whether this analogy is appropriate to the present situation, men of good faith can disagree.
I rather live my life with the best quality of life as long as I can.
