They are only asking for the game to be banned in Ukraine itself, which is fine since it is literally sending money to an enemy combatant nation if a Ukrainian buys it.
edit: hey russia bros, every downvote = 1 more babushka produced artillery shell in the russian factories. keep it up and maybe you'll win!
You're an idiot. It's offices are in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Lots of companies register in Cyprus to get around sanctions and shit without having actual offices there.
With their company in cyprus, yet somehow still paying all their taxes to "muh russia"? Jesus, get your head straight. With your standards, did every player of COD MW2 contributed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well - at the same time?
Their company is not in cyprus. They don't pay taxes there. They just pay some fee to file some paperwork and have a post office box there. Do you not know how corporate registrations work? Lots of American companies register in Delaware for legal reasons but don't actually exist there and don't pay taxes there. Euros do this with Ireland, Cyprus, and some other places.
Jesus, get your head straight.
It's always tiresome trying to explain facts to an idiot on the internet who pays for the education I provide with insults. Fuck off already, retard.
It's a fun game also, for what it's worth. Very much a bioshock-esque game, and very visually pretty. I'm digging the world too, I almost never listen to extraneous in-game lore but this fake world really pulled me in. Put quite a few hours into it last night, and it works wonderfully on linux too.
I've watched Synth streaming it, he complains about the combat and some monster choices but I really like the esthetics and, if I'm not wrong, it looks to be very much anti-communism in their messaging.
I could see the story unfolding that way for sure, I really like how their society mirrors ours in so many ways with the obsessions of progress, science, transhumanism, and equality.
To be fair to him, the combat is a bit iffy. It's been said before, but a big part of it is the limited field of view. Many of the enemies move really quickly, and with the low FoV they basically disappear off-screen. It's manageable with a single enemy but you're basically fucked against two or more.
So I get you are a fan of that libtard Mauler, what a fucking leftist idiot that one is.
I never said he complained it was hard, his complains are about design, like quick time events, poorly designed encounters, some monsters being mechanically uninteresting and some weapons being bland or week.
If you watched him rather very disingenuous hit piece you would have noticed his criticisms of modern games vs older games he did like are spot on. Yes he got a few things wrong in Ragnarok but he was correct for 80% of that review and he even addressed the things he got wrong in a different video.
Plus it's the ONE game that didn't get released half broken and unplayable due to performance issues. HL fixed it pretty quick, Wild Hearts seems to still suffer(recently hit mostly negative too on steam).
Best case ever made to buy a game.

Lol yeah Russia is going to fund it's war effort with a mediocre game and not oil
When your own population is funding the enemy there are a few things you should consider.
You don't think Russia bans buying Ukrainian products? hypocrites.
Yeah, because its video game developers who are dangerous - from cyprus. You fucking tool.

Utopian world of robotics basically being the proto-Borg Collective and suddenly going out of control? Yeah, definitely anti-commie.
Synth is shit at playing games so I don't doubt he complains about combat

I read that as Half Life ...
They probably already did it behind the scenes and the Western countries informed them that this would be too much of a mask-off moment.
Goddammit, stop trying to make me a reactionary buyer!
I'm planning to start it tonight.
Try before you buy, if they're asking for a boycott from Microsoft there's a chance it might be on gamepass.
Worth a look
it is. I downloaded it from games pass last night.
Don't fall for reactionary "anti-establishment" PR/Hype tricks. Wait and observe, and find out (Sir Ona). For example: https://communities.win/c/Gaming/p/16aT38bJJL/fuck-atomic-heart/c
Microsoft, please show spine. Remember all the countries blocking the ATVI takeover are pro-Ukraine.
Well it's already on Game Pass
