Consumerism was never a good thing. I have learned this lesson over the years. Men should simply focus on improving their current skills, learning new skills, and building new things (whether they be businesses or art or a family).
I don’t get this push for women in football. Technically a woman could play and I could see a female kicker but watch the crap any male player would get of the kick is blocked and the female kicker gets knocked down
Women consume far more than men. I think it's something like 80% of all consumption can be tied to women. Women own more wealth in the USA than men do. Businesses at the high-level know this so marketing to women is extremely important.
Correct. A lot of women want to seem like they're "one of the boys" and get in on cheering for their favorite sports teams. Women actually buy the paraphernalia too. The flags they throw on vehicles. Jerseys to wear. Women get totally immersed in the consumerism of it all. Guys might sit at a bar over some beers and talk sports but women will go out and buy sport stuff to be part of the cool crew cheering the sports on, not to mention it's women allowing their BFs/Husbands to go out to the bar.
Frankly, this is one of the reasons I've stopped partaking in sports altogether. It has become another overly consumerized pastime and women are actually an underlying driver of it. Men are "allowed" to like sports around women because it's considered acceptable and cool to like sports by women. Women get in on it too. You can bring women to sports games and they like it. You're allowed to have friends over to watch the game and the woman will cook you and the boys chicken wings because it's game night. Women can't even tell you why any of it is going on but they seem entirely caught up in the "cultural" aspect of it. Like they want to tell their girlfriends how their boyfriend/husband was watching the game because that means she has a defacto default as-expected boyfriend/husband they can all roll their eyes at. Then come into work and all the girls can talk about watching the game. What a joke.
Sport watching just to be a part of the sport watching culture is cringe imo. Just another way to signal you're nothing but an NPC.
I'm not sure where you're from, but in America, it isn't happening. The WNBA has been hemorrhaging money, propped up by the NBA, since it was founded. Futurama dunked on them (0:14) years ago (which is good, because they cant dunk themselves). Soccer has a niche here, but I've never heard of anyone following the women's team besides a minor burst of interest during the World Cup. As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been a women's pro baseball league since 1954, when the AAGPBL closed up shop. About the only sports where enough people watch to pay them good salaries are tennis (which is also kind of niche, nowhere near the popularity of the other sports here) and MMA (where they benefit from being part of a scheduled, mixed fight card, even if they are not the headliners).
As you know if you've been following this sub, though, they are trying to push the whole "women in X" narrative with basically everything. What you're probably seeing is Americans rolling their eyes at yet another attempt to force this.
I'd love to see the winning team of each season for males and females go head to head to win the overall NFL prize. The looks on the faces of "the future is female" scumsluts as their gender gets torn to pieces by men live on TV would be priceless.
On top of their political correctness, the NFL has deteriorated in many ways.
Worst is the decline in defensive capability, with linebackers looking like DBs and DBs looking like stick-men/ballerinas, entire defensive secondaries afraid of contact, and the rise of the "prevent defense" that makes 4th quarters and the 2-minute-warning as dull and predictable as the final 2 minutes of an NBA game.
I mean that, the loss of life would be horrible, and the opportunity to mock women doesn't make up for that. Besides, we'll always have the useless slut who crashed into an aircraft carrier.

I misread your comment initially.
I’ve heard that but I would still think there are certain interests that appeal to more men than women
The rest of the “developed” world has realized that women's sport is a pretty enormous, largely previously untapped market.
It’s massive, over here.
Yadda yadda “Women’s soccer sucks”, every time I bring it up, but seriously, this is a trend that is very unlikely to reverse, any time soon…
And no, I don’t think they’re as good as men. No, I do not “prefer” watching women’s sport. And no, I am not a simp.
But seeing many Americans constantly pretend this isn’t happening is just… Kind of funny, frankly.
Reality is, marketers have well and truly realized what you just said, and they’re catering to that increasingly, as time goes on…

A female kicker would be killed.

I don't care because they've gone full black national socialism and I'm just so fucking sick of these fucking niggers

You sure didn't until someone specifically told you about it. Almost feels like manufactured rage this time.

Don't expect Imp to actually know things.
Why on earth would I be watching the NFL?
Yes, you're right. I only found this out because of him. So?
I...
I'm glad they didn't crash.

I think one of the F-35s had its blinker on the whole time. Embarrassing.
And like, the entirety of Glendale that surrounds the stadium too, one imagines…
