This is a service that's not going to withstand the generations, so they don't have to hook a new audience every 10-15 years. They only have to appeal to the people who will spend the cash on their shit service for the duration they have the income to spend. Twenty years is more than a damn good run for Disney+, the next big thing will have come along and it will be a relic by the end of that.
Family Friendly is a label for the tired and lazy. It tells people they can watch something dumb and it won't require thinking.
