It failed because it was dogshit terrible. They killed off John Connor unceremoniously in the first 5 minutes and replaced his role as the future savior of humanity with a Mexican illegal immigrant who spent most of the movie being hunted by a Terminator disguised as a Border Patrol agent.
Now if only they'd been stunning and brave enough to have the lead be a trans disabled Mexican illegal immigrant, and maybe had Connor sodomised to death to really drive home their disdain for the old, problematic audience, there's no limit to how much money they could have made!
I'm convinced Cameron is dangerously on the cusp of being MeToo'd. He's been swinging suspiciously hard with leftist talking points recently, and right when his latest movie is this close to release.
Isn’t a simpler explanation that we are seeing the impact of being morally bankrupt societal trend followers? Our artists have very few absolute values; why are we surprised they parrot the profitable thing?
Considering at least three of his four marriages have been to women who were his employees, there's definitely a case to be made that he uses his position of power to get laid.
...But honestly, though, I think it's just Trump Derangement Syndrome
Dark Fate failed because they all failed. This one just had the all girl squad, and marketing pushed it. Plus it felt like in order for the one girl to work, they had to kill the John Connor character to do it. And then replace him with some blank slate woman who was as charismatic as a box of corn flakes. But I digress.
There didn't need to be any others after 2, but people kept trying.
The geriatric "badass" Sarah Connor was even worse than the elderly Arnie in it. It was like watching one of these fat Steven Seagul movies where he looks like Moviebob with a painted-on hairdo, or Bruce Willis with dementia.
It's my understanding that Sarah Connors is featured much more prominently in the movie. Maybe including an old beat-up Linda Hamilton made it "Your Grandma's Terminator Movie."
Terminator 3 remake where Arnold dies (again) but if now replaced by a diverse terminator who goes back in time and is now the only terminator there has ever been
Arnold Schwarzenegger was the LEAST of the issues with that film, the fact that people were after seeing this went "ok we are all agreed, terminator 3 and salvation are cannon and nothing else counts no matter of retcon, right."
It's funny, the absolute worst of the pre blatantly woke media is still fine dining compared to the woke stuff now, especially after 2016/2013 as these movies were in production for years It's just 2016 they all came out.

Exactly!

*a Mexican illegal immigrant girl who will still be carded at a liquor store when she's 35 ;)
It failed because it was a Terminator movie after T2.
what a cuck

I guess. It's not as fun though.

He's sucking his own farts and dumping on his old fans hard Nowadays.

Action movies with old people in general.
It's my understanding that Sarah Connors is featured much more prominently in the movie. Maybe including an old beat-up Linda Hamilton made it "Your Grandma's Terminator Movie."
Nah.

...when
It's called going black in time, like Nurse Who featuring London centuries ago, full of Black people, smugly saying "history is a Whitewash".
Did that really happen?
Yes : https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Whitewashing
They hate White people to the point of rewriting history to legitimize what they are doing to Europeans.
Step 1: put nostalgic elements in the movie as a hedge against the obvious unpopularity of wokeness
Step 2: when time movie flops due to wokeness, blame the nostalgic elements
Oops, I forgot the real step 1: secure international finance so that you can fund this leftist dumpster fire until the collapse.
Schwarze negger is "extremely problematic".
