NIL is great student athletes can finally profit off their image. Attractive blonde woman are among the highest earners, well NIL wasn't meant for attractive white women. (archive.ph)

Hahahhahahaha. I laughed too hard at this. When will female athletes and women just give it up. No one wants to watch women play sports. People want to watch the feminine figure be beautiful. That's why prior to modern degeneracy we had activities like ballet, figure skating, synchronized swimming, etc... that tried to turn female beauty into a competitive activity. No one gives a shit about women playing basketball or soccer or something. Tennis? Guys are watching for the skimpy skirts and the women grunting as if they've just been fucked to exhaustion after pulling their skirts up. No one cares about women playing sports.

As a 12 and 13 year old I went to my older sister’s volleyball games but I guess girls high school volleyball would appeal to a lot of 12 year old boys

Yeah, I remember back to being around 14yo... Gym class... All I talked about with my guy friends was checking out women's cleavage. I can't remember one time being like "wow that girl was so good at a sport, I want to watch her play x sport or play x sport with her". Never happened.

Maybe people need their parents to tell them what mine did. The world owes you nothing, there is always someone better than you, there will always be those who have it better, and there will always be people who look better

So what’s the difference between a female athlete and e-girl anymore?

A) This is one of the most disjointed, schizophrenic things I've ever read

B) The way every journo is suddenly using the term NIL yet not a single one ever explains what it is really goes to show that they all lack theory of mind

not a single one ever explains what it is

That is somewhat surprising for how new the term is. I would have thought some acronyms would need to be fully spelled out at least somewhere in an article when it's abbreviated everywhere else.

It took me some research to find: Name, Image Likeness. My guess is that those are the exact words from the court decision that forced the NCAA to let the athletes make money.

Seriously, had to click through 3 links to figure it out and still didn't know the exact term until reading TriangleGang's comment.

I posted about this a while back. When the NIL thing started every company was throwing some bucks at niche sports because of the novelty. Once that wears off companies will only be willing to spend money on athletes who can bring them lift (football, men's basketball and the occasional attractive female) then you won't see many homely women's softball players getting ads from barbecue joints anymore. Guess that is starting now and we get to read longform articles about it.

I first heard of NIL when WWE started using it about a year ago.

They called it Next In Line.

They sought out football players and other easily-manipulated student-athletes, not people trained to be professional wrestlers.

Ohhh. Wow, I really should have thought of that. Thank you--if it said that on the site, I somehow missed it.
