Best said part. Conservatives died in the 70s when democratic subversives started the necon movement. We grew up in the “conservatives” of illegal amnesty, war hawks, and Medicare.

I agree with most of that, but "Balkanize" is not the correct term. I guess my arguement's pedantic, but Balkanization requires the intentional effort to use populist rhetoric to establish left-wing sub-strata governments that collapse the overall state. Balkanization is the intentional destruction of the west. That's normally called: a decisive failure.
People usually mean Balkanize just to refer to the breaking up of one region into smaller regions. I hadn't heard that leftist bit before though, so I'm gonna go read up.
No connection with leftism. Yugoslavia was split by right-wing governments.
A-fucking-men, ever since I've got more into politics, I got very disappointed in conservatives. They conserved almost nothing.
