the left can't meme.
Especially when you consider that Lex Luther is probably the most reasonable DC villain. He just has a tendency of going too far (see also: J. Jonah Jamison for Marvel).
Also when you consider that Lex Luthor is clearly Jeff Bezos.
Lex would not even be a super villain if not for his obsession with Superman. He would just be the run of the mill dickhead CEO
actually sort of funny, are you sure a lefty made this?
Strange they did not use a bad picture of Musk. Maybe it was a right-wing meme and they changed the title.
It does seem like a copy-paste job, or just a silly joke that his lefty friends thought was an "own". Elon probably forwarded it.
at this point, I would legitimately vote Lex Luthor for president
I quite like his policy on illegal aliens.
I conversation I recall.
A: "You should read this new Lex Luthor comic."
B: "But I don't like Superman."
A: "Neither does he."
Lex is a technocrat globalist.
He may have a good policy on aliens but his other views would be horrifyingly bad for all of us here who are interested in keeping what few individual civil liberties we still have.
Maybe. He's a self-centered megalomaniac who sees himself as the ultimate human. We'd see shady business practices, grandiose speeches, manipulated media, and possibly an overt social credit system. On the other hand, he'd be very tough on crime (there's no way he'd tolerate the 2020 riots), he'd be very difficult to buy or bribe, and he'd be competent at achieving his goals.
He would be very competent in reaching his goals.
What would his goals be?
His goal would be making us live with China's social credit system on steroid, living in pods and forcing us to eat bugs for the sake of combatting "climate change".
Lex Luthor would be the supreme leader of the WEF if he was real.
Sure we would not have any Antifa BLM riots but at what cost?
I wouldn't go that far. He might head a WEF-like organization, but it wouldn't be the fake "social responsibility" bullshit they've got. His WEF would be dedicated to ensuring his fame, reputation, and legacy. He wouldn't stoop to the live-in-a-pod dystopia because that does not fit his vision of a prosperous society.
Lex is extremely egotistical and self-centered. The whole reason he is even a villain is because he sees himself as overshadowed by superman, and does stupid things because of that. He wouldn't create a society where people hate him (pod+bugs is extremely unpopular), and he would not suffer his nation to retreat for any nebulous cause such as "climate change". If anything, he'd actually build a nuclear powered electric grid and shore it up to actually create a prosperous no-carbon society, so long as his name gets stamped on it.
The big thing to worry about in a luthor presidency is what he would do in the face of rivals. We're talking clinton-style assassinations, no-bluff nuclear threats against foreign nations, and Trump-style drone strikes on powerful people who threaten him. He also wouldn't be above orchestrating a 9/11 style disaster in order to capitalize on the cultural shock. We're basically already there anyway, so I don't really see this as a loss.
From what I seen from most comic portrayals of Lex Luthor, his god complex overshadows his desire to be loved.
Once he obtains power, he will never relinquish it until he dies.
He would do things that are so abhorrent and no one would be able to stop him.
Lex Luthor is portrayed as being in the top 0.01 of intelligence.
A true genius leader like him would be disastrous for when you eventually want to oppose him.
I can see there would be some advantages to Lex Luthor in power but he would become a God Emperor. No one man should ever have that much power. Let alone someone that intelligent.
I thought they were insisting Twitter isn't a publisher?
It sounds like a paper I'd like to read. If nothing else it would be infinitely better than the drek that real world journalists churn out.
