Stop framing it as "evening the field." Frame it as what you actually believe.
If your response is, "on topic X, I really do believe in a marketplace of ideas!", great. The commons of your marketplace will be ruthlessly exploited. Are you ok with the worst possible position on topic X? If not, keep walking it back until you find what you're actually ok with, and there's your real position. Maybe go a bit further, even, so you can compromise back to the position you want.
I think a big weakness of boomercons is naivete. They have no interest in X, so wouldn't put in the effort to ruin it, so can't imagine anyone else doing so. That's not the same as believing in a plurality of ideologies.
Imagine Satan the devil is real and he's after you. Shape your politics to make it as difficult as possible for him to reach you and yours.
Until conservatives are willing to tribe up and start treating non-conservatives as their sworn enemies, we will continue to lose. Not only should conservatives cover everything with a conservative lens, we should censor non-conservatives and indoctrinate the children of non-conservatives to be conservative. We should also change the laws around to benefit conservatives at the cost of non-conservatives.
I stopped watching fighting game tournaments (soulcalibur specifically) cause of the amount of leftist preaching between matches coming from the commentators. Sadly haven't found someplace to see matches with apolitical or even no commentary.
Personally if they can't do apolitical commentary just remove the commentators altogether. That said I don't expect people with political agendas to lets things stay neutral so I guess we would need a counter bias..... sigh
All video game tournaments, speedrunning events, collectible card games, tabletop gaming in general have been completely trooned out and can never be reclaimed at this point. Things are so bad we literally would have to develop completely parallel and heavily gatekept base infrastructure to have a Street Fighter tournament without furries, people bawling about masks and vaccines, or transgender communists taking it over.
I do not see why we would have to. Looking at the world as is is very anti-leftist. This is the reason so many of us moved from the left to the right.
Not to mention we are at the point where if a game does not pander to leftist causes is considered anti-left - we do not need real anti-left just ignore leftist bias is enough.
Dulik, a tenant organizer, and Nicholas, an urban planner, are the founders of Club Leftist Tennis, a Substack newsletter that covers their favorite sport through a progressive lens.
Dulik bemoaned the media reception. “It’s always the exact same phrases: ‘Pickleball is much more accessible and fun than tennis’; ‘Pickleball is the fastest growing sport,’” he said. “I’m cringing at being sold something so blatantly.”
But, for decades, it barely made a ripple — pickle what? Even now, the number of players in the United States is estimated at around 5 million, according to a 2022 report from the Sports & Fitness Industry Association. By contrast, some 21 million Americans started playing tennis in 2020 alone, according to the Physical Activity Council.
Consider their view like how you might view trannies: a very tiny phenomenon that suddenly fell into public consciousness, a bastardization of something of your interest, suddenly imposing itself in certain "spaces," and being told by media that this is just as good or better than what your interest is.
Clearly a poor comparison, but seeing that these guys are urnalists, tennis may be the only good thing going for them.
Part of the problem is covering things with a conservative bias. It's hard to imagine what that looks like that isn't just:
Plainly describing reality as it clearly is.
Stonewalling leftists by whatever tactics get the job done.
It's hard to be subversive on the right, and even harder to be subversive as a conservative. Conservatism exists in the same blended political slop that is 21st century liberalism. I'm not sure it stands for anything other than telling progs to slow down, and even conservatives themselves know that isn't good enough anymore, they just don't know what to do about it. I'm pretty sure it's not just being more loudly conservative though.
I have the sense that the Cathedral is trying very hard to prevent the next political realignment, because progs moved so fast that you can now reasonably describe yourself as a "reactionary moderate," and nobody knows what will come of that. We don't need conservatism as it exists today as part of the terminally-ill liberal political mass, but that realignment might let better ideas float to the surface.
You just admit your biases upfront then try cover things as objectively as possible as one of the problems about viewing everything through one lens is you can miss the fine details that might be crucial later on.
Nobody likes politics so no, we shouldnt be covering things with a right wing lens. All that does is turn people away. The fact that people are turning away from preachy leftoids is the rights biggest recruitment tool. We should focus on things that actually matter and we can win more people to our side.
I think we should strive for apolitical. Bit I can understand the need to just do like the left but with a conservative bent. But what did they say in Tennis?
The side that wants to win will always beat the side that just wants to be left alone
That's because "the Left" owns the banks. It's easy to prevail when you can create money from nothing and give it to people you like.
Stop framing it as "evening the field." Frame it as what you actually believe.

Yes, they don’t fight fair. They fight to win.

If white people bloc voted based on ethnicity the way black people do in the US, we would already have a Mars colony and warp drive.
Too bad. It’s the only way we’re going to survive.
My guy, are you a five year old? Just say it feels wrong, using childish language is silly.
All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing.
The mid 2000s beer and bacon guys were never really conservative, they just looked like it compared to leftists.

Really? Wow in a fighting game tournament they couldn’t resist talking politics

Do it.
If you do not enforce a right-wing echo chamber, it WILL become a left-wing echo chamber, because leftists scream louder.
Gatekeep, or be gatekept.
Make sure left-wingers have NO place in your space. None. Force them out.
Because they will do the same to you.
This is the only acceptable answer.

Both of you have mapped out the river.
And culture is downstream from RACE.
just resisting subversion is considered "anti-left" when in reality it is pro-civilization
Is this article satire?

When we win we can discuss going back to less biased more neutral news reporting. Until that happens go full court press.

I would have agreed with this wholeheartedly...in 2002.
I think we should strive for apolitical. Bit I can understand the need to just do like the left but with a conservative bent. But what did they say in Tennis?
Well a lot of things dont need a political bent. I never thought I’d see the gaming world sounding like a DNC convention at E3
