Boris Johnson's spokesman says the Prime Minister will transform the NHS into "a blockbuster health care system in the age of Netflix."
I'm sorry, what? Given what happened to Blockbuster, is Johnson saying he's going to destroy the NHS? I mean, there's better ways to do health care, sure, but that can't have been the intended meaning there
He's saying whatever he thinks gets him on the good side of enough voters before various kinds of shit crash into the general public in the coming months. He's a former journalist remember, one that was fired twice for lying so anyone with a memory better than that of a labrador puppy should never, ever take anything he says, or does, as sincere.
Remember that time he got "stuck" on a zipline? OHSA would have shut it down had that been true yet didn't because... it was a PR stunt.
This happened to me in the ER in the states. Girl next to me had a blood clot and waited longer than I did. Not saying socialized medicine is good, but this video in and of itself hardly makes it out to be worse than private medicine.
Open borders and a welfare state mix like petroleum and fire, chlorine and bleach or islam and actual civilized nations.
It wouldn't be so bad if they at least required that only citizens got treatment. Even then, insurance has helped make costs as high as they are in the first place. Turns out they don't need to charge realistic prices when it mostly gets lost in bureaucracy anyways.
it's same in capitalist USA hospitals though, hospitals were always understaffed, which is why covid and the full hospitals excuse for vaccines and lockdowns was fake news
Nothing about medicine in the USA is capitalist. It's basically state run at this point. I spent most of my hospital days providing care for illegals as I would citizens because that's the law. It's illegal to refuse life saving treatment regardless of ability to pay.
In the first quarter of 2021/2022 in England 83.4 percent of patients who attended A&E were admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours. This is below the NHS’s target that 95 percent of attendees to A&E should be seen within four hours. Since 2011, the share of patients seen within four hours has been declining. In addition, since 2016 there has been a marked increase in examples of patients waiting for more than twelve hours at A&E to be admitted, with a recorded high of 7,161 individuals in 2020/21 third quarter.
The reasons behind the increased waiting times and the missed treatment targets could be partially explained by the increased number of people attending A&E. There were over 6.1 million attendances to the A&E department in England in the first quarter of 2021/22. This figure has been increasing since 2012, which means there is a greater strain on emergency services across the country.
So, situations like the one in this video happened to 7,161 people, out 6.1 million. In other words, if this happens to you, you are very unlucky.
Same story in any densely populated area of the US. I make sure to only experience random severe trauma when I’m out in the country now. Who has the time?
The wait time is similar here in leaf land for a hospital visit. You get looked at in the order of severity, unless you come in by ambulance. Then you typically go to the front of the line.
The patient in front does not look native Brit/

Maby they meanthe NHS will be woke anti White garbage too?
So trans and wokes everywhere till it crumbles further, then a firing spree while the dumpster is burning?

Most hospitals are socialized in the USA as well. Same care for all. Illegals get same treatment as insured citizens.
Citizenship has its perks! You pay tax! Everywhere!

Whoops. Guess this means that racism is still systemic over there. That's what big black cock tells us.

Sure it happens but it's extremely rare for wait times to be this long in the states. Look up random ER wait times online.

Average wait in Québec is 9 hours. Expect anywhere from 3 to 18 hours+. Yes 18 hours+ happens. It's a disaster.

To be fair, emergency rooms take forever no matter what country they’re in.
