You would have thought that they'd shut up after getting proven wrong, but no. They swore up and down that Dankula didn't count (ha) looking for any and every excuse they could come up with as to why he hadn't proven them wrong.

Progressive mental derangement is caused by nihilism, which at its root is a person losing touch with Truth. A Progressive/Marxist/Communist/nihilist/etc will continue arguing even after they've been clearly proven wrong because they literally cannot recognise truth from falsehood.
This is also why they unfailingly double down on their retardation. Many observing this confuse it for lying - they often do lie but its a pathological type of lying where they aren't even aware of the lie themselves, or don't care.

I don't blame Marx as much as I blame Foucault. Postmodernism is a cousin to nihilism (as you said) and more and more I think Foucault's "philosophy" was an ex post facto rationalization for his depravity.
I agree with your comment about Foucault. I was an undergraduate English major when he hit academia like the Beatles hit America on the Ed Sullivan Show. Every single bored professor tired of reading like a normal human being latched onto this Frog, treating him like the second coming of Socrates. He fit their notions of what it takes to be trendily naughty ("transgressive" as they like to say) and dazzled them with grandiose pronouncements on everything and puzzling arguments with theses like "language is a tool manipulated to exercise power" reinforcing the already prevalent nihilism among godless academics and boring the living shit out of students who just wanted to read Shakespeare and the Romantics and arrive at their own conclusions about language and art without any untranslatable French philosophical bullshit weighing them down.

I think it goes beyond nihilism and into solipsism. If they haven't personally experienced it, it doesn't exist. Also, if they have personally experienced it, even once, it is universal law that happens all the time to everyone.
It's the type of thinking you'd expect from a small child, and there's a reason for that. Progressives never mature past that stage for whatever reason. Maybe they have brain damage, maybe they have psychological issues, but for one reason or another they're permanently eight years old.

Never seen a leftist (the activist type) ever admit they are wrong. They would straight up lie about things, just to avoid admitting they are wrong. They're narcissists after all.
