Ok I thought the “woman” looked odd. It’s a man. And to think I was actually cautiously optimistic. Hard pass on this. What is really sad is that I have loved Dr Who all my life. Literally some of my first memories are the theme music because my parents would watch 4th doctor reruns on PBS. I was losing interest in NuWho hard because of how bad the writing kept getting through Capaldi's run and ended up stopping on the Xmas special 'The Husbands of River Song' because it worked as a stopping point being the resolution of River for one thing and that the episode itself ends in a way it feels like an ending even though River then goes off to the library and Capaldi obvs goes off to do more stuff.
Missy was good but only because the actress playing her is first of all very good, but also because she played her as completely bonkers.
Yeah, at least I could explain away The Master because he's bonkers and has had some rough regenerations; it wouldn't be that far fetched to imagine he's so fucked up, he'd fuck up his regeneration into a woman, too (wasn't he a monster at one point?) And that actress is really good at being a fun villain.

And to think, I just had my first try of Jelly Babies in the past few days. They really are all that (I expected 'em to be more like jujubes or something meh like that, but they are so much better.)

But the push to have trans actors is a little absurd. If the role is for a woman then I want to see a woman. And they couldn’t do anything better than race swapping a beloved character in Rose?
