Ok I thought the “woman” looked odd. It’s a man. And to think I was actually cautiously optimistic. Hard pass on this. What is really sad is that I have loved Dr Who all my life. Literally some of my first memories are the theme music because my parents would watch 4th doctor reruns on PBS. Oh well there are many classic Who episodes I have yet to watch and I can always rewatch Eccleston through Matt Smith. I liked Capaldi up until he got Bill
I was losing interest in NuWho hard because of how bad the writing kept getting through Capaldi's run and ended up stopping on the Xmas special 'The Husbands of River Song' because it worked as a stopping point being the resolution of River for one thing and that the episode itself ends in a way it feels like an ending even though River then goes off to the library and Capaldi obvs goes off to do more stuff.
Missy was good but only because the actress playing her is first of all very good, but also because she played her as completely bonkers.
Yeah, at least I could explain away The Master because he's bonkers and has had some rough regenerations; it wouldn't be that far fetched to imagine he's so fucked up, he'd fuck up his regeneration into a woman, too (wasn't he a monster at one point?) And that actress is really good at being a fun villain.
This is .. omg, I hate it. Had some hope with 9 and 10's showrunner coming back, but ... alas.
And to think, I just had my first try of Jelly Babies in the past few days. They really are all that (I expected 'em to be more like jujubes or something meh like that, but they are so much better.)
My T-shirt with "Doctor Hooves" on it is less silly than this shit. Hell, the show being full of Ponies would be infinitely better than trannies and faggots bunging it up.
I didn’t read that far into it. Geez. No it will not make sense. You know I honestly feel bad for a female or minority actor/director/author who sincerely wants to make good stories. I’ve reached the point where I am very wary of anything with a female or minority lead where before I would give it a chance. Denzel Washington being the rare exception. But I honestly thought they saw the damage they did to Dr Who and we’re gonna try to fix it. I guess not. This is just stupid.
