So many spoiled, decadent Westerners have grown up in unprecedented opulence and prosperity, but are unable to confront the real reasons why they're so unhappy in spite of it all. Their ennui and listlessness turns to rage and frustration, which is directed at everything around them in the form of resentment and disgust for their own family, community, country, culture and society. This aimless, impotent animosity is easily co-opted by the globalist propaganda machine. It's simple to get people like that to cheer for the erosion of families and communities by the state, for mass immigration, and for foreign interventions.

The prosperity is a bit of an illusion as well. What we have an abundance of is cheap consoomer products, but it's actually more difficult now to own a home in a decent neighborhood than it was in the past.

Compared to the recent past, true, but in the grand scheme of human history, this is still pretty much the best time and place to be alive, materially speaking. The problem is, people didn't evolve to live without struggle.

Compared to the recent past, true

And that's just it. The dominant narrative has been one of "progress" even for conservatives. To experience decline from one generation to the next creates an existential crisis. Western thought has been in crisis for a long time now. Spengler wrote Decline of the West a century ago.

Almost like this has been intentionally encouraged by design

You mean the two-minutes' hate every news cycle is a cathartic distraction from our actual problems?

Surely not! Our media has our best interests at heart! (/s)

The globalist agenda part, sure. As for the root cause, the existential crisis of Western citizens, I really don't accept that it's the result of a multigenerational social engineering project. These people are malevolent and opportunistic, but they're not that competent.

a multigenerational social engineering project

The public schools.

Which are certainly guilty of social conditioning and ideological indoctrination en masse, but this is mostly an emergent phenomenon. It's too simplistic to just say that it's all centrally directed by some small cabal of malevolent puppeteers.

Community, country, culture and society suck ass, and are far beyond disgusting.

Community is a bunch of faggoty leftists who demand the mask.

Country is owned and operated by the globalhomoists, which rapes and pillages the rest of the world too, not just us.

Culture is a bunch of faggots, trannies, feminists, and brain dead "consumers".

Society is just the latest programming that practically everyone updates as soon as it's released.

Worst indictment of all: No one is doing anything about this.

We can't count on natural phenomena to do the job for us. It's going to take nuclear war cleansing our cities before we'll have a chance to recover.

Imagine realizing that funding foreign wars with the nation's blood and lucre isn't in the nation's interest...

Shut up and fight a brother war, goy.

90% of elected officials don’t represent time interests of their constituents. Democracy is a meme.

If you want your country to put you first, you elect a strongman who isn’t afraid to go to war for you.

I think there needs to be more cultural emphasis on the virtue of courage and the willingness to actually fight. Not pay lip service or pretend to support a position, but to actually throw hands or spill blood.

I can't think of a single US politician that would shed blood for the good of our country and that is a problem.

The system you live under makes far less difference than the people you live under.

It's not just distant from the pocketbook. Frankly I don't give a damn who wins the Ukraine Civil War (2022 Edition). Russia ain't the one sending over human refuse to my country. Russia ain't the one siphoning 40% of my paycheck.
