True he was a leftist but he seemed to make it enjoyable. Also I’d say making an allegory about racism in the 50s and 60s is different than an allegory based on a false narrative.
Exactly. Roddenberry's vision was a future void of discrimination through the elevation of the human consciousness. Michelle Paradise's vision is a future ideologically void of discrimination through tyrannical dogma.
Rodenberry had politics- sure, but he didnt put them in the shows with the goal of pissing off a particular party. ST:D's writers goal, is 1: put stronk wamenz in the show, 2: no hwite men, 3: piss off half the country.
STD sucks tranny benis dick because of it. While the other Treks are fairly watchable, even with roddenberies views included.
And u/icockmyglock agree with Enterprise being the end of the series. I only watched a bit of it, but ending there is as good of a time, as any other. Sad how StarWars also ended around the same time (2003 for Lucas' Last Work)
Voyager was bullshit because Janeway had to be the best at everything.
Remember in the Pegasus where Picard was like "couldn't we flood the area with tachyon particles" and Data's just like "uh, no, that would be really dumb. But we could use ionizing radiation"... that was fine because Picard didn't have to be the best at science.
Draw that line wherever you want, but every series has gone further downhill and even TNG is questionable at times.
I'm amazed anyone's even still watching this show. How the hell has it made it through 4 seasons? I couldn't even make it past the first season, so I can't find it in me to be annoyed that bullshit political nonsense has further infected buillshit television.
Maybe after this and Picard get cancelled, we'll actually see another good Star Trek series.
Besides the fact that ideological subversion is the point and it's not about the money, this is the signature series for Paramount. They use the fact that it exists to sell their other streaming shit. They don't care that they destroyed their old fanbase. Quality isn't important, because they have IP/brand recognition. You can always find new idiot customers.
Except it is literally among the lowest rated shows on the service. And probably one of the most expensive to produce.
The streaming model has been a godsend for leftist producers. Their products are completely detached from the harsh appraisals of the free market. These people take your money in exchange for on-demand access to your favorite old television shows, then they use that money to fund radical leftist propaganda targeted at you and your kids. It’s brilliant.
I actually liked season 1, it was retarded but had good looking and had fun parts. Season 2 made no sense but was watchable just to see them setting fire to piles of money for wasted production values.
Season 3 started with a terrible premise then went full woketard to the point of a tranny wesley crusher character who had a tranny "boyfriend"? who induced nausea which is where I noped out.
This doesn't bother me because Trek ended in 2002. It was a good run.
Agreed. The showrunner for current trek openly said he wants to piss people on the right off.
Which was definitely Gene Roddenberry's vision

Star Trek, after Enterprise, is dead to me.

Agreed.
I'd include Enterprise too. It started a bit weak, but got cancelled when it really found its footing. The last episode sucked though.
Also, ngl, the Kelvinverse movies are a guilty pleasure. But, I don't consider them to be real Trek.
Personally I'd go with the end of Voyager in 2001.
I didn't like Nemesis that much, but at least it wasn't the utter travesty the franchise has become.

Stunning and brave, to be certain.

did they manage to fix her teef and 'betus in the 24th century?
No.
Remember Tuvix from Voyager? She looks like a pakl'ed and a ferengi were merged via transporter and then all it did was binge on replicated fast food.

Why? These people openly hate you. Learn to return the favor.
In the article read in the video, Abrams says she aspires to be president of the United States.
