There's nothing to worry about. I have it from reliable sources that it's only 3.6 roentgen.
The TV says the National Guard force is cut off (bridge destroyed) and can't get reinforcements, they're fighting over the power plant itself, the waste storage and the vehicle graveyard now with "several sabotage and reconnaissance groups".

Exactly why would Russia want Chernobyl? I know it just happens to be in the vicinity and all, but if I were going full on invasion of a country trying to claim a failed nuclear power plant just doesn't seem like a key piece of infrastructure to spend effort on. Do they think they are going to bust up it's containment or something?
Shortest straight way to Kiev from northern direction (Belarus).
They're also landing right now a MASSIVE airborne op west to the city, having taken the Antonov International Airport already (15 minute drive from the city limits).
I'm surprised they are coming from the north, albeit I guess Belarus is basically an extension of Russia at this point. I've always assumed that was their goal with Ukraine as well, to just get a really Russia-friendly puppet government in place.
Probably a good idea just to make sure the other side doesn't sabotage it. That would be stupid but you never know what will happen in war.

Is it actually a good game? I had a chance to get it but looked at screenshots and thought it's another shitty ripoff, like Fear the Wolves and some I don't even remember.

It is quite good. Many choices and allows you to change some of your choices later cost. A bit of survival level, stealth(avoid killing people or you lose sanity) and vry detailed.
Not stalker good, but still good!
My prediction: Someone, probably Ukraine, breaches the containment building, and everyone blames Russia.
