Thank goodness they invested in nuclear so long ago and didn't randomly dismantle everything even before Fukashima happened.

OH WAIT!

It just does not make that much sense.

Will this affect Poland and Hungary? Only thing I can think off is that Germany is rich and will be ok if the economy takes a hit but smaller countries like Poland, Hungary and other eastern countries will become even more economically depended on EU.

So by restricting gas from Russia to EU they can control dissidents.

If this is their plan is freaking brilliant.

The thing is, we won't be okay. Our energy costs are already through the fucking roof. If gas gets fucked too, we are completely screwed. There is no alternative, ever since we decided to axe both nuclear and coal power. We have entire industries, that are basically going tits up, because they are very energy-intensive. It's just not profitable to operate a buisness when 70% of your expenses is energy.

The Nord Streams were specifically made to bypass Poland (and Ukraine) in first place.

They had to do this lest they forever be called Putin's bitch. Will be interesting to see what happens to the German economy with not enough/very expensive energy.

Increasingly, Germany‘s own people are calling their country America’s bitch. Hard to argue against when you’ve got US military bases all over your country.

The western narrative surrounding this conflict is pure inversion. Russia is a rogue expansionary nation because they oppose neighboring puppet governments installed by a hostile foreign power from thousands of miles away? The United States is a bastion of freedom and democracy even as they deploy their intelligence and law enforcement assets against their own political dissidents?

The Rainbow Reich represents an existential threat to every nation.

Well if Germany doesn't want to be America's bitch, they could actually spend more than 1.53% of their GDP on defense.

There are two types of Germans: those who aren't willing to fight and die for their fellow countrymen and "Nazis". The leftist government is rightly terrified of remilitarization, as it would empower the ruling classes political enemies. Hopefully they are eventually forced into a position where Germany must rearm, which also means they throw off the gay.

At this point, why would anyone pay into a defense pact that does literally nothing? And even if it did do something, why would Europe want to align with America against China and Russia when the latter are offering cheaper goods and energy?

The only country that wants to fight actual wars anymore is also the only country spending a third of its budget on military pork. The rest of the world ain’t interested.

IIRC, you don't give 2% of your GDP to NATO. NATO just requires that you spend 2% of your GDP on your own armed forces.

Poland did so much more than America to help the revolution. And influenced the country much more too: https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/02/18/ukraine-poland-russia-history-west-nato-euromaidan-crimea/

But I know you Americans just must to make everything in the world about just yourselves. In your minds.

I am deeply convinced that Ukraine is and has always been a Central European state

Yeah, that’s retarded.

The center of Europe is right to the west in Poland, Ukraine used to be for centuries at least partially a part of Poland-Lithuania or the Austrian Empire (south of the Prussian Mitteleuropa). And Kiev began as a Viking colony.
