They brag about the culture of big cities. Honestly, when I see big cities I see densely packed crowds of people looking like they are miserable breathing in toxic air, paying outrageous prices for everything, and avoiding crime and homelessness.

I prefer fresh air, open spaces, and friendly neighbors. Walking around without fear of being mugged. There’s a sense of peace in small towns and rural communities.

Truly different worlds.

Look at their sports. Pay hundreds of dollars to watch millionaire athletes sleep-walk through children's games.

Look at their art museums. Overrun with insufferably pretentious queers, retarded modern non-art, and comically bad "diversity" exhibits.

Look at their bar scene. Disgusting cesspool of horrible people paying 1000% markups on booze so they can have meaningless sex and catch every STDs.

Look at their cuisine. Pay 5x what you should for nasty food from dirty street stands, or spend 10x what you should for restaurant food that was shipped in from your despised Midwest. You got kebabs and Thai food? Yeah, so do we. Turns out it's not very hard to make any of that shit.

Look at their cultural enrichment. No shared values. No community. No unity. Just sectarian strife. Cultural enclaves everywhere. No patriotism. No nation. And don't forget all the crime, violence, homelessness...

Meanwhile, middle America has low rent, affordable food, the great outdoors, and the same internet as everywhere else. It's a no brainer.

The need for mega cities died with the internet. The only people who still care about NYC, LA, Chicago, etc are the ones who ruined them to begin with. Women have become intentionally ugly and/or money grubbing whores, so that appeal is gone. Most men are better off getting a dog and a house in the suburbs

You got kebabs and thai food? Yeah, so do we.

Truest thing ever. My wife if filipino and looks for Asian food everywhere we go -- she's never had a problem (and we like going to random places).

She still talks about the cambodian place in Sioux Falls, SD a year later. Dodge City, KS also has some pretty authentic asian food (and great pizza, actually).

Urbanites have become the South Park caricature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJoGEqZfFDI

My favorite part was "How many of <X> are within a 30 minute commute without owning a car?"

About half.

But here's the thing. I do own a car. I own three. Because I can afford to do so, because my rent isn't $2/sq ft. I have a 3000 sq ft house with a fully finished basement, two car garage, a 300 sq ft storage shed/workshop on an acre of land. I have three dogs and two cats that run around the back yard having fun. I have a wife, three kids, and a widowed mother who live with me and there's plenty of space for all of us.

And my rent isn't rent, it's a mortgage at 2.25% that will be paid off in 12 more years, right as my youngest child is graduating college. And it's still less than $2000 a month for all that. I can afford spectacular health insurance, seven figure life insurance for myself and my wife, have no revolving debt, and put 20% of our income away each month for retirement. My projected income at retirement is higher than my current income.

So yeah, I will sacrifice being able to take a smelly, crowded train to an overpriced restaurant, paying half a week's wages to look at a banana duct taped to a wall in person, and buy $12 cups of coffee while listening to some loser read his shitty poetry that he wrote in some coffee shop because he can't afford his own internet.

Instead, I will drive myself and my family to the local dog park, then go over to a friend's house and enjoy a backyard BBQ, then go home and sit around the fire in our backyard making s'mores and talking about what we're going to do on our campout the next weekend.

So feel free to keep throwing your money away and complaining about your landlord and how you're so poor while still making the decisions that got you there to begin with. I'll be busy managing the wealth I plan to leave to my grandchildren so they can all have their houses paid off by the time they are forty and leave their own grandchildren enough wealth to never have to take a mortgage in the first place.

I'm sure your great-great-grandchildren will still be complaining about how poor they are and have to live in a pod and eat bugs to survive, but it's still totally better than us stupid uncultured suburbanites.

Wait, what am I saying? They won't even exist. You cut your dick off to feel like a real girl.

Literally just left the city when all this "kill whitey" shit started. My life is now the starter version of yours and we couldn't be happier. We're not worried about being mugged, carjacked, or worse any more. I'm not worried about a stray bullet killing my child. We no longer hear sirens, gunshots, or fireworks at 3 AM. When I go to the store I see families, not unwashed loiterers who reek of weed.

And all this for the low low price of way less than we were paying for the "privilege" of living in hell.

Can't have a garden in an apartment. No garage to work on stuff with tools. You have to be quiet so you don't piss off neighbors, including tip toeing around all the time so people down stairs don't hear you walk. You have to deal with neighbors who are loud. No gun ranges.

No thanks

I lived in an apartment for a bit a few years ago. First time learning that it's "rude" to take a bath late at night because running water bothers the neighbours, lol.

A neighbor traded places with a city friend for a weekend. I chatted with the friend outside for fifteen minutes. In that span, she asked me three times if it was always this quiet or if something was wrong. Urbanites aren't human.
