It's ironic, because Team Lightyear in the original Buzz Lightyear of Star Command show was also really diverse. In that every member besides Buzz was an alien or a robot.
All I know is this movie isn't going to have XR, so I couldn't care less about it.
I'll be over here rewatching "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" if anyone needs me. At least Patrick Warburton replacing Tim in that was due to budget and not woke.
It is probably not that bad of a movie. Is not even a toy story movie, lets see how it plays out and how woke it will be.
Disney is trash so my guess they will force some gay characters somewhere, maybe this is a coming out story for Buzz.
I'm not going to take the kids to see it until it is properly reviewed.
The director implied they did not want Tim Allen to voice the character, a change must have a reason. Is not like anyone other them Tim Allen can voice Buzz better then the one that voiced him since the beginning.
The theory is that Tim Allen is no longer liked by Hollywood for being Christian. Not Republican or on the right, but openly Christian.
Chris Evans on the other hand has been openly spewing leftist SJW talking points so he is favored by Hollywood, he also seems to be dumb as a brick.
People on the right are upset do to an ideological reason behind the change, an ideological reason that comes from left hating on Christians, actual Christians and not Joe "abortion is a human right" Biden. Anti-Christian rhetoric is hand in hand with anti-right rhetoric.
Would you be fine with a change made specifically because the ones that made the change hate you? Would you not object to it?
Watching the trailer, every single cast member except Buzz is a diversity hire.
It's like when you watch TV these days and 90% of commercials are black people.

Like when they replaced Jake from State Farm, an actual employee of the company, with diversity hires actor "Jake."
I can still see him being recast just because Tim Allen’s getting a little older. Though it is CG so they could have I suppose.
Home Improvement be channeling Industrial Society and Its Future. Apparently "Wilson" was Uncle Ted all along; that's why he always his his face.
We'll see how smug they are when it flops.

Yeah, no thanks
It's not about the company that makes Lightning McQueen's tires?

Did you watch the trailer? They've got a non-binary black woman wearing Buzz's iconic suit.
I thought that was a dude
she's going to save buzz at the end of the movie and theyre going to forget him becuz hes hwite male.
Very curious as to what Zurg is gonna end up looking like now
voiced by tim allen
Life will only get harder for you from here, perpetual victim.
Nothing quite so ironic as a leftist accusing others of perpetual victimhood. Your entire political worldview is dominated by victimhood.
I think they get paid by engagement. So replying to them gets them shekels.
Goddamned Judases.
You'd be the first to whine if one of those worthless "strong female characters" was rewritten as a male.

"Is it better?"
"Who cares if it's better? It's different, and that's what matters, because I'm a progressive!"
Nothing wrong with not liking something new. I told you before I pretty much watch older stuff because most new stuff doesn’t interest me.
This guy clearly isn't here to listen to anyone.
