If you want a good laugh take a look at Wikipedia's "reliable sources", i.e. the sources you are allowed to use in articles.
It's a who's who of leftist outlets because they (i.e. an in-group of editors who took over the site) decide by consensus who is "reliable" and who isn't.
Related post from a week ago how they shape "reality" by simply declaring anyone who reports inconvenient news as unreliable: https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/13zMwr65Lh/having-vowed-to-protect-biden-cr/c/
The fact that Wikipedia won't let you put firsthand sources into an article is insane. If somebody has issue with their own Wikipedia page and says "This part is inaccurate" you are not allowed to put that on there until somebody else regurgitates the info.
Ironically that is one of their accidental good rules. Otherwise you'd just this scene repeated over and over in talk pages "Hunter Biden isn't a criminal because he said so"
Agreed, but It also includes blocking someone from being the source for their own personal beliefs, like religious affiliation.
They won't even let you put in "{subject of article} denies this and says it's not true" without getting a left news source to say it.
You shouldn't be able to edit your own page to say whatever you want, but you should be able to add your views on your own self.
For instance, Hunter should be able to edit his page from "he's a scumbag druggie" (in a rational world) to "he's a scumbag druggie, but Hunter himself denies this claim".
Exactly, that's my point. Just being able to say "The person in question disputes this." and be able to link to something like an image or tweet of them saying so would be a massive improvement.
They consider The Mary Sue and Gawker to be more acceptable sources than the Epoch Times.
lmfao.
They also list Buzzfeed News, Gizmodo, Vox, The Huffington Post, the Anti Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center as top tier trusted sources.
Russian propaganda? How dare you? Qatari propaganda? One thousand times yes
