Yes, and it’s been very effective too, most everyone I know is so terrified, you’d think it had a 99% fatality rate.

The BLM rallies were the biggest redpills of all. The figurative mask coming off.

The same public health doctors who had locked you in your home for months, killed thousands of jobs and barricaded your local playground equipment for a deadly virus turned on a dime and unironically stepped to the mic declaring "systemic racism due to be an equal public health emergency to COVID-19"

Yeah, but you know what scares me? It fucking works!

At least here, in Aus, the population laps it up, and then begs for more. My parents, my entire extended family, have become paranoid hypochondriacs (it helps that they are abusive, and this just gives them an excuse to treat other people worse, but nonetheless, lol). And polling consistently shows that THIS IS WHAT THE USEFUL IDIOTS WANT, i.e. according to their ridiculous, selective push polling, this is what the population wants, and any outliers (like me, and others on this forum) deserve to be socially shunned, literally locked up, and have our internet restricted, lol...:-(

It's so fucking disillusioning... I don't... I don't even think I could get any more demoralised, at this point, and that fucking breaks my heart. :-/

You're right. The rhetoric around Covid-19 features a huge amount of emotional manipulation. This is something that women are masters of, and they are using it to great effect.

Of course, part of the reason it is so successful is the feminisation of society as a whole. Throughout the Western would, emotions are considered more important than anything else, both my men and women. The stoicism of past generations has been eradicated and replaced by a tendency to place feelings above everything else, and most people now think emotionally rather than logically. This is a godsent to the powers-that-be, as it relative easy to manipulate emotions.

"This is something that women are masters of"

I beg to differ. That's women's ONLY play before they start crying. They're not masters of anything unless it involves garnering attention.

No shit, they start crying - a form of emotional manipulation. And how do they garner attention? Emotional manipulation.

I had a female family member go to the emergency department in the middle of the night recently because she was anxious and couldn't sleep about some non-emergency test results performed earlier in the day qnd didn't have the discipline qnd coping skills to wait for her doctor's office to call her with the results the next morning.

To be clear, she wasn't having any emergency symptoms. And her doctor wasn't on-call at the hospital. The hospital wasn't even the facility that performed her test the day before and didn't have access to her pending results.

She just went to the emergency in the middle of the night because "she couldn't wait". So of course the poor ER doc didn't have anything to offer her, but they of course redundantly ran a second series of futile tests that weren't necessary and validated her decision.

When another female family member was describing the series of events and I commented that it was an inappropriate use of the emergency department and being anxious and impatient are not excuses not to wait until morning to call your doctor's office.

The second narrating female family member said they disagreed and "would have done the same thing" and felt that "anxious feelings" were a perfectly good reason to use emergency services in the middle of the night.

We subsequently got into an argument when I pointed out that the emergency department is for "emergency symptoms" not "negative feelings".

It really made me realize how dangerous female decision-making processes can be if they are so heavily-weighted by feelings, even if this example is relatively benign.

Yep. I wish it wasn't as effective like Obrienmustsuffer said.

I have a close relative who has an ailing Mother (in her 70s), a dying stepfather, and a senile grandmother (who is in her 90s). They live a state away and every so often the relative drives down to do what he can to help them all out. Everyone involved is vaccinated.

He was meaning to make just such a trip in the coming week. Just about needs to as a matter of fact. This morning he was talking to a friend of his who's in the medical profession and has been pretty involved in setting policy for nurses and how they deal with the covid pandemic. She implores and adamantly tells him it's dangerous to make that trip. "He could get the DeLtA vArIenT and spread it to his mom, stepdad, and grandmother" if he makes that trip.

He hasn't gotten COVID at all, has his shots, and is retired so he pretty much hangs around at his home. He's hardly gone out ever since the Coof started back last January. He needs to head down to his fam to do some really needed things to help out but he's freaking out about the Delta Variant and needing to mask up and all sorts of other nonsense and there's absolutely no point in trying to show him just why he shouldn't be afraid.

It's downright sickening what the "medical professionals", "journalists" and politicians are doing to the mental health of their citizens and patients. It's saddening it's causing people to take absolutely misguided decisions that only end up hurting the ones they love. And for what?! A virus with a 1.75% death rate. And that's not even taking into account the fact that there's been plenty of funny business going into what things get counted as "covid deaths."

It's awful seeing the effects of the covid hysteria play out in my own life and knowing there's nothing I can do to help. I "don't pay attention to the news," I "don't know what i'm talking about." I'm "not taking this seriously." And I was the first one in my family that first started taking it seriously back in January 2020!!! I got them to take it seriously back when we hardly knew anything other than the few images coming out of China and we were expecting the possibility of full-on bodies in the streets and family was just focusing on "Cheeto Benito" getting ousted in his then-upcoming impeachment proceeding.

I could go on. It's just awful seeing the hysteria really cause actual, potentially lasting harm to my family and not like I have anywhere else to talk about it. They all think I'm a solid-Dem just like them. Ugh

Honestly, at this point, I'm more afraid of the government and sheeple blindly letting them become a tyranny over that stupid fucking virus. I'll take my chances with the virus, at least there is a 97% chance of recovery with that thing...I'm not so sure if there is any recovery with the government.

They might scare me a little better if they'd come at me with the Buick LeSabre variant instead of enticing me with Italian cars.

But yeah, the fear is by design I think. Fear is the weapon itself. Once it takes hold rationality is out the window. They don't need support based on political views anymore, only to provide the illusion of protecting those caught up in fear the most protection from what it is they fear.

Sounds about right.

Scare people enough so that they will be more eager and compliant in accepting government over-reach.

Back in 2019 I used to have a pretty neutral view of government, institutions and "authorities". But one thing I can thank Covid for, is being a life-changing red pill in that regard.

Women aren’t behind the media led fear mongering, but they are behind a lot of the moronic institutional responses to it.
