It's almost like they want us all to be ill...

Sargon made a point a little while back as well ... it's about humiliation. The "bugs" in question are always depicted as if raw, the least appealing way possible to western eyes. The media want to be able to make you change your diet to something you loathe, just to prove to themselves that they have the power to do so.
They really are demented little goblins, aren't they?
I can't think of any reason why they're gleefully running stories like this and not even trying to dress it up.
The only conclusion I can come to is that the media actively hates the population it sells to - I don't think this is particularly a stretch - and wants to bully them into eating food that makes them gag.
This is an underspoken point. I've eaten handfuls of bugs in certain dishes and they were like any other soup or fried food once prepared.
But the thought and image of eating squirming bugs that squirt out their juices and guts when bitten into is absolutely disgusting and why I'd never give an inch on this front.
There's nothing like fresh Gagh for a light snack.
A different theory might be that this is another aspect of leftism as spirituality. Eating bugs is another form of penance for them.
I suppose it is a very leftie form of penance if you force somebody else to do penance for your own sins...
Well you see they are the priests of their religion. Their penance is saving the rest of the world by making everyone else eat bugs. They don't have to do the same because they're blessed.
It's more that they want to save your soul, not that they believe in such things.
Yup, apparently saving the soul by chastising the body, whether the guy belongs to your cult or not...
Asians have the worst food culture in existence. The cooking style and methodologies are great, but the sanitation, refrigeration, and food products used are severely risky. There is a reason why most people don’t get sick eating and drinking in western countries, and why the vast majority of animal borne viruses come from Asia and the Southern Hemisphere.
Many of the Asian "cooking styles" you're likely familiar with are western inventions.
Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls were invented in BC, Canada. Teriyaki sauce traces its origins to Hawaii, USA.
Rule of thumb: If it uses sugar, any deep frying, or both, it's Western.
Ok, so Europeans introduced chili peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, refined sugar, corn, etc., to Asia. So, by one definition, any food that includes one of those ingredients is "Western influenced."
There are a crapload of iconic national dishes that are Western influenced or of direct European origin.
Indian vindaloo -- Vinha d'alhos -- Portuguese wine and garlic sauce.
Japanese tempura (deep fried) -- Portuguese again.
North African Shakshuka -- any time this dish is mentioned people get in a pissing mass over whether Israelis stole it, who it "belongs" to, etc. Well, fuck off, it probably didn't even exist before ~100-150 years ago, and its direct precursor was Spanish or Portuguese or Italian. So, stop appropriating European culture?
There are many examples. If you look at Asian cooking today, across all of Asia, you will find ingredients like refined sugar all the time. "Chinese Cooking Demystified" youtube channel barely has a recipe without sugar.
The Donair was invented in Nova Scotia, by a Greek immigrant, and it's just a rip-off of the Greek gyro. I think the only real difference is that donairs have tomatoes in them. (Unless you actually go to Greece, and stop in one of their neighbourhood shops, where the gyro meat is an actual lamb on a spit. Makes the ones here look like shit.)
I’ve been to just about every south eastern Asian country and most of Oceania, tried everything from turtle to durian, there’s plenty of great foods and flavors.
That's "food products", which you just said were "severely risky". I was speaking on Cooking Style And Methodology, the things you said were good.
Cooking style is what foods you put together to create a flavor profile. Methodology is how the food is cooked, I don’t think anyone has ever complained about someone using a wok or putting tapioca pearls in a drink. How a food is stored and a kitchen is cleaned is different than what foods are used and how they are cooked.
That is just second and third world shitholes like china, japan is cleaner.
Japan and Korea are the exception to the rule, most of Asia/ Oceania have horrendous hygiene and sanitation practices.
That is definitely because the other countries are poor though lol.
Eastern Europe is poor, doesn’t stop them from using basic hygiene. India has toilets and showers, doesn’t stop them them shitting in streets and bathing in the Ganges. Even Asian supermarkets in America have horrendous hygiene practices.
If you go to high-end places in Taiwan, or eat packaged food, fast food, or stuff at the supermarket it seems pretty clean. I don't know about their street food maybe you'd know more.
I mean, Japan still has plenty risky fish related foods they cook. Its more refined than slurping up street oil to cook in like the alternatives, but certain seafood items can harm or kill you if ill prepared or eaten wrong.
Asia is a big place.
This is a good counter that will mess with their moral framework.
I wouldn't assign the same value to lower life forms as I would to mammals, but that's a personal choice. Many types of bugs are just units in a collective. (like the formics in Ender's Game)
But it's a great argument to get leftists spinning.
weak, sick, effeminate, humiliated, and dependent on The State.
I only use soy sauce on rice, and it has to be that salty unhealthy cheap shit because most sauces taste like weakass water.
