The media want to be able to make you change your diet to something you loathe, just to prove to themselves that they have the power to do so.

They really are demented little goblins, aren't they?

I can't think of any reason why they're gleefully running stories like this and not even trying to dress it up.

The only conclusion I can come to is that the media actively hates the population it sells to - I don't think this is particularly a stretch - and wants to bully them into eating food that makes them gag.
