The way things are going, we are going to have video of a black man shooting a police officer completely unprovoked and being shot in turn, and there will still be outrage over the police killing him. Just going through the big outrages I can remember, starting with George Floyd they just keep getting more and more justified. Ahmaud Arbery going up to a dude and trying to take his gun, Rayshard Brooks was drunk driving, resisted arrest and stole a taser and tried to shoot the police with it, Adam Toledo had a gun and did not comply in any safe manner, and this girl was actively and enthusiastically trying to stab someone.
And the worst thing is just how many people accept the narrative and just internalize that as the truth, "he was just jogging, they shot a man sleeping in his car, he was unarmed with his hands up, she's the one who was scared and called the police for help", and then make decisions based on what are outright lies. We are going to have more and more people get hurt as they hesitate or decide not to call the police out of fear of them being some trigger happy deathsquad.
