? We've got a new captain and she's a gal. Fifteen days in the Suez Canal.? ? You'd better look for a new job ol' gal. Fifteen days in the Suez Canal.?
Fifteen days is optimistic.
Next time a girl tells me she's got enough space for a 3-point turn in an alley, Imma bring this up.
Why does it cost anyone 31 billion? The sum seems exaggerated.
If it is not, can't they just blow it up or something, I assume that the ship + repairs are less then 31 billion.
Blowing it up would probably work as well as blowing up the dead whale did
That was fun to watch. Thx for that
Insurance policies kicking in due to missed deadline, spoiled cargo?
Do you have any idea how long it would take to clear the debris from a 20,000 container ship?
The overpressure wave from a blast large enough to actually vaporize the ship would destroy most of Suez.
Can we let BLM do it.

:) I admit, I've never tried to do that. But blowing that ship up and make it rain like a pinata does seem fun.
Call it a widening project.
Infrastructure bill.
I imagine that figure is missed opportunity cost of other vessels that can't get through. There's a reason countries will fight wars over that canal. The alternative is to go around the entire continent of Africa.
I know blowing it up would be stupid and impractical, but I still think it would be fun to sneak a nuclear submarine thru there to "adjust" the situation a bit. Mainly because I just don't care the aftermath with the level of stupidity already going on in the world.
It's not exaggerated.
The biggest shipping channel in the world has been shut down for days.
Apparently something similar happened during the Suez crisis in 1956 and it took half a year or more to get it unstuck.
I wonder how much money everyone is losing because of this. One woman screwed up, countless people lose $50 billion.
I can feel TheImpossible1's power level radiating energy from somewhere in the world, and it is as the rising of a second sun.
Yes, and in a Dailymail article today was mention at least 20 ships carrying livestock were stuck in the backup, and the only alternative route of going around Africa is a 24 day trip. Poor animals.
