This is me when I read up on the side of Twitter that has all these gender activists, feminists, and race baiters.

It does a damn good job of making you feel like you're alone and the only sane one left.

so the wiki says they closed in 2011. Why am I getting this strange feeling it didn't truly end there?

It didn't. Within minutes of looking around I found out about this place where they electrocute kids to this day.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Rotenberg_Educational_Center

The device they use was banned by the FDA in 2020, but they were given an administrative stay on that ban, allowing them to use it on people they have already used it on because of, of course, the coronavirus pandemic.

Just read this shit. What the fuck. https://autistichoya.files.wordpress.com/2020/04/fda-notice-of-stay-filed-with-court-of-appeals.pdf

Jesus, those deaths... I bet the list is much longer than they want us to know about.

Damn, but that comic is disturbing. I had always taken the quote by CA Lewis about tyranny to be a hypothetical, but there it was carried out in full display. Horrific, and of course it was allowed with no punishment for those who ultimately ignored it. Damn I hate being in as sleazy a field as education sometimes.

The quote for reference: “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

All the crazy moms displaying Munchausen by Proxy come to mind.

“......as sleazy a field as education.” Never were truer words spoken and the word sleazy is a paradigm shift. Brilliant!

Interesting. I just read that comic a few weeks ago. A really excellent web comic. Hes trying to raise money to get it published.

I dont recall the illustrations being anything obscenely graphic...no nudity and any sexual abuse was only mentioned in passing....not an intrical part of his story and a lot of what he says was already publically known and verifiable... Ill be curious to see if anything else happens.

Can you please replace the direct link to Reddit with an archive so that this sort of post does not get this place on the Reddit spamfilter?

You know the one good thing about 4chan is you know it's full of scum, villainy, and degeneracy. So when you see disgusting content on 4chan it's predictable.

Reddit tries to cover it up like they're a miniature China.

Thank you for making me aware of this.

The craziest irony of it is that you can find posts from 7-10 years ago on reddit as people openly cheered as the place was exposed and ultimately stopped, on reddit.

Now? They ban a survivor of it telling his story. Insane.

I recall seeing a documentary of some kind about a school like Elan School. The footage was late 70s early 80s. I distinctly remember the folks screaming at one another. The rest of the details are fuzzy. Did anyone else see it?

The kid might get sued, but reddit won't. Section 230 protects them despite reddit operating like a publisher.

If they sue him, then they should also sue Amazon for the documentary they released and continue to stream.

Allowing what to spread? The horrors of Elan have been known, and reported on, for decades. Documentaries, TV specials, books, newspaper articles...all of them published before this comic.

Also, what "cases" are you talking about. The only case the wiki mentions is the cold case that was opened on the kid they beat to death in the 80's.

I'm almost certain that's what it is. The people whose asses would be on the line for Elan have had their lawyers contact reddit.

Im certain you're wrong. The school has been closed since 2011 and anyone that could be held responsible, or claim slander, is dead. They have no lawyers and if they did, theyd be going after Amazon for the documentary theyve been streaming since 2017.
