Them: Cancel culture doesn't exist.
Also Them: Can you believe this person with right wing views is being employed! I bet that nazi motherfucker is even feeding his children!
A boycott they were already claiming they were doing because J K Rolling believes in the existence of biological males and females. So now they are double not buying. And since they were sjws who hate games technically they are Triple not buying it
Guaranteed that’s what going on.
Nathan Grayson. Gamergate. RENT FREE.
Edit down voted in five minutes? HI NATHAN!
Goolag notifications are a bitch.
I'll wait to see it release before making an assumption. But I may buy it just for the message of not being woke. Kind of hate to do that since I am not a fan of Harry Potter, I was not even a fan when the first movie came out despite being in target demographic.
Can't seem to find a conact mail for WB games, does anybody have it? We should let them know that we are happy with this. Wokesters are hammering them already, you can bet on it, and if they are the only ones contacting WB they will win again.
I only bought the Harry Potter books recently because of the complete leftist breakdown over them. I'm going to spite buy this game just to give it more sales numbers.
I am seriously into voting with my wallet these days. If Nathan Grayson and Brianna Wu say don't buy the game, then that might be a point in its favor.
I liked Troys videos and followed him on Twitter. When I saw that he was a lead designer on that game my first thought was cool, followed by if game journos find out this will be a massive shit storm over someone calmly and politely disagreeing with them a couple of years ago. And then it happened. If Troy keeps his job Im a day one buyer. If they fire him the entire publisher is dead to me.
"We're not trying to take away your games."
The fact the low-Ts and clown world hate it is solid marks in its favor, VERY solid marks, but that alone does not make it a good game, just a promising one. It is enough to make me check it out, but that is all.
No, quit giving JK Rowling more fucking money.
I agree that JK Rowling doesn't deserve a cent at this point.
I just want to say to you, please quit giving Epic Games more fucking money.
The CCP benefits off it and Epic keeps stealing games as platform exclusives.
Epic Games needs to be starved of funds.
I knew you were going to do that. Fair point, I can't call anyone else out as long as I keep giving Epic money.
Don't throw stones while in a glass house is something I try to live by.
Epic stole exclusivity to Samurai Shodown and a few other titles that I wanted on Steam.
I still despise them for that lol
Fair point. I could stop buying from Epic, but then I'd literally have nothing I haven't boycotted.
Exclusivity has never been a big thing for me, coming from console, I don't really understand why people are mad. I mean, there's games I will never get to play because I don't have a Soyny console.
The only reason to hate Epic is some kind of principled stance against the CCP, but I'm typing this from a Lenovo device, using a keyboard that isn't from a Chinese company, but was made in China, and on a monitor that was also made in China. Kind of acknowledged that you can't avoid China and I personally have a deeper hatred for feminists anyway.
I'd rather pay Epic than EA or Ubisoft.
If it were just exclusives it likely wouldn't have made people as mad.
But numerous games were literally removed from Steam after months of open preorders to become Epic Exclusive. Only after backlash did they even allow those who preordered to keep the game on Steam.
Same with breaking up games in a series between multiple platforms. Generally exclusivity meant a brand loyalty you could expect. So if you liked Ratchet and Clank games, you were safe buying Playstation. For an example of this elsewhere, the Monster Hunter fandom is still screaming and seething about World being on PC/PS4, and now World fans are seething about Rise going to Switch. Epic threw a huge wrench in that for a few major series.
Not to mention the Epic Store was barely functional and missing a huge number of basic features for a long time, like a shopping cart.
Little things like that taint a reputation and turn people against your company and Epic hasn't really done anything to undo their negative rep. They just keep throwing money at more exclusives hoping to bribe you into liking them.
That's what I have always found odd about the Epic thing. The vast majority of complainants don't have the "CCP sucks" stance to fall back on, because the hate for the Chinese government isn't part of their standards.
If it's all about exclusivity, how can I call myself a capitalist and get pissed because Epic is using capitalism to benefit their company? I can also be a capitalist and choose to not purchase said product, and that's fine. But why bother getting mad and ranting all over the damn place about it?
Perhaps I don't understand the situation, I've never bought from Epic. I also hate Steam and their annoying-as-fuck launcher and under no circumstance can I piss all over Epic and go praise Gabe Newell like he's the second coming of Jesus. I really just prefer the GOG model, let me download the game and install it from a file and run it from the "launcher" I have built in called Windows that already has enough spyware on it. I'm still more console anyway, worrying about my PC hardware on a daily basis is something I'd prefer to leave in the past.
Perhaps I just had a bad taste left over from when I was still on Reddit. I happened to mention interest in a game that I had no idea was an Epic exclusive (Metro Exodus) and my intent was always to play it on console anyway. It was like a man walked into a feminist convention. They hate you. It's totally personal to some people. Yeah, I probably shouldn't have been on Reddit and nowadays I only go to spectate the apes.
I don't think anyone likes exclusivity deals for the most part.
Between Epic being ~40% owned by the CCP and the whole Fortnite BLM thing, that means supporting Epic is a great way to support communists. I'm definitely not interested in doing that at all. Epic can't go under quick enough for my liking. Same for the CCP and anyone else that supports them.
Yeah. Give you money to the people that don't put women front and center. Don't look at what they are all about. Like ever. They don't promote women, they are the good guys.
For real, Impi. You'd bury someone that seems to be really on our side just to let one side in the tranny-war have a win? You'd throw him under the bus because you think tranny-loving feminists are better than tranny-hating feminists?
A voice is worth far less than millions of pounds to influence politics. We are better off denying her that than protecting our guy.
All feminists are evil, some are just more honest about their intent.
So ... we have three (maybe more) relevant voices here.
And you think that
is the best choice? I got the feeling that you don't hate women as much as you say you do.
But I don't think it's the best choice. If this game bombs, she's out a lot of money that she could use to influence politics.
It's a case of the personal not overriding the bigger picture. If we buy this, we save him but we make JK rich. We are better off not doing that because it will weaken feminism slightly.
Disclaimer: I don't plan to buy this game, nor did I ever intendo to
Please explain how we weaken the everchanging monolith of intersectional feminism by canceling the only guy that, as far as we know, has never sided with feminism? Of all the possibilities, not canceling him is the best way to piss off the most feminists, because, again, as far as we know, he isn't one of them.
So, as far as I am concerned, I will not cancel him, and neither will I buy a game because the trannies don't like him. Our part in this little trench is to just not play the game. The only winning move.
