Why is this KIA2? How is this place supposed to differ from the other one? Just looking over the current posts, the subject matter seems to be different than KIA. Honestly, it feels like TheDonald in here. There's no sticky saying what this sub is about. I like what I see, I'm just a bit confused on what is supposed to be posted here and what's not...

Our mods are faggots instead of trannies.
Start playing the Darkwing Duck theme in your head:
We are the hole in your sock that your toe keeps getting stuck in!
We are the gross watery ketchup that squirts out when you first squeeze the bottle!
We are the public bathroom that doesn't have paper towels and only has the antique hand dryer where someone who thought they were supremely clever wrote "press button, receive bacon" on the instruction pictograph!
Gamergate! Simultaneously ineffective basement dwelling incels and a globally dominating secret society dedicated to oppressing women and minorities!
KiA2 was founded because KiA mods got too censorious. It shares some topics with TD/patriots.win because we were originally about video games, and entertainment was one of the first areas where the left started to infiltrate.
Sometimes discussions about gaming take a back seat because in the grand scheme of things the issues are insignificant compared to what's happening these days.
We're the peanut gallery lobbing spitwads from the back of the balcony.
You can post about censorship, SJWism, games, technology, nerd culture, or whatever...though it's not actually a free speech forum.
The downvotes will show whether your topic is welcome. In this case, the question's been asked many times before, so don't take it personally. Conversely, you'll probably get a lot of points for hate fucking something.
There are technically some (proposed?) guidelines in the "Welcome Ashore!" sticky, but I never refer to them. We're not willing to be dictated by faggots unlike Half-KIA.
Because lesbians are only hot when there are 2 of them?
Because blackjack, and hookers.
I'd describe it as gamers, comic, anime, etc. nerds talk politics, censorship, SJWs, and feminists. Not to say there's not game discussion, or really about anything that you think would fit the audience. Very lightly moderated, or I'd almost say self-moderated by the people here having brains and not taking differences of opinion personally. I'm a newcomer only to the .win myself and that's my take on it at least.
You do realize we have KIA2 on reddit? Is the same idea, KIA mods are to censorious and wanted to keep it game focused so KIA2 was made where you could post more stuff, SJW and leftism do feed from each other but half KIA wanted to not post political stuff although it was relevant to SJW culture.
Over on reddit the mods of the original KiA became very censorious and pushed a lot of rule changes that no one wanted (They even had points where they had votes on rule changes, then did what they wanted anyways when the userbase voted overwhelmingly against them). This resulted in a lot of talk regarding politics and SJWs in gaming and nerd culture being banned, despite being very much on topic. Different people put forward different reasons for them doing this, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was because they were scared of getting shut down, but it seemed very power-hungry and very sketchy.
This caused a schism and KiA2 was made in an attempt to be less censorious. This schism lasted over to the .win sites when KiA1 mods made their own. I don't go over to that one, but I assume many of the rules carried over and it's probably dead. KiA2 tends to err on the side of fewer rules (Which I prefer), with much more talk about a wider range of nerd-culture adjacent subjects.
Okay, cool. That makes sense.
There was another post on here that gave a really excellent description of the atmosphere in this place.
I'm originally from TheDonald, I've always been a daily visitor there. However, with the new community stuff, as well as a lack of much news or positive things, I've been browsing the communities and other .win sites.
I stopped by KIA first, and saw that it was mostly just a bunch of gaming and tech talk, not really political or anything (which I guess can sometimes be nice). Then I stopped over here, and the posts didn't seem to be ANYTHING like the other one, which made me wonder why they both shared the same name. IMO, this one seemed MUCH more interesting than the other one, but also shared a lot of similarities to the types of posts I'd see on TheDonald.
On strange thing is that it seemed to be pretty quite over here. I read the one sticky, and it said that this place was going private. However, I was able to make this post. Is that sticky no longer valid? It actually gave me an error when I tried to post, but it DID post it. Not sure if that was a coincidence or what.
One of the big things is that both subreddits were in fear of being shut down for a while on reddit. As I said I would like to believe that is why the mods on KiA1 went the way they did, but they were extremely heavy handed with it.
KiA2 took another route, and after making KiA2.win they privated the original KiA2 subreddit with the intent of hiding it through the election that way, and tried to encourage everyone to go over here (that's what the sticky post is about). This .win was never privated, but unfortunately only a fraction of the users came over here.
I think it has split us quite a lot. The KiA1 subreddit was quite large before the "schism", and after it remained large, but mostly inactive as it seemed that the most active users migrated over to KiA2. Now the KiA2 users are now split between reddit and .win, which reduces activity even further. I think the subreddit was unprivated later, and I think there is still a substantial number of users over there, though I keep expecting to hear of it being purged eventually.
I think some malicious actor posted CP on KIA2, so they shut it down temporarily and re-opened post-election.
They don't want to get rid of the subreddit permanently strictly of their own accord, as it's antithetical to the general free choice principal that we follow.
They do, however, have an Auto Moderator message that links to Reddit alternatives, including this WIN, SaidIt and Poal.
