The real hilarious one is when they say "X is a racist dog whistle". That means if you're hearing it, you're a racist you dimwit.
I said this to someone I knew back in college the other day on Facebook. "That's a dog whistle" and my exact response was: "Then why are you the only one in this discussion hearing it?" I didn't get a response.
I've gotten decent at arguing from their point of view. See, they can hear the racist dog whistles, not because they're racist/dogs, but because they are highly trained and empathetic. They're basically superheroes, actually, always trying to protect others. Their superpowers let them hear things that other non-dogs/racists couldn't hear.
They've put in the emotional labor to be able to train these superpowers, because they care about others.

Yeah, but Ron Paul literally faded to obscurity multiple elections ago. He didn't even do anything besides splinter the Republican base and get sub 0.1% of the vote. Its almost senseless in that who fucking remembers enough to care about Ron Paul by this point.

If I remember correctly, yes and probably several times, but not by nationalizing the corporations, but by ending the governments special protections and subsidies of them.
