This stopped being about profit a while ago. These corps are infiltrated.
The "diversity" will just end up working for the Public Defender's office, defending people who can't afford a real lawyer.
Unsurprisingly, it's the most unscrupulous corporations who have been screwing over their employees and customers for decades now. But they scream about racial identitarianism and suddenly, the anti-corporate radical left loves them!
Fuck them, their evil. I hope from the bottom of my emotionless heart that the entire SJW movement comes crushing down on them. I'm sick to have corporate enforced discrimination and social engineering. I'm sick as fuck to pretend I'm a TDS lefty at work just so I do not get blacklisted, I'm sick of having anxiety attacks every time there are any personal reductions, even if my results are way above average, just because I'm a white male.
I wonder why is that? You are hired because they have a quota to meet not that they are capable and then wonder why they are not given high-profile work.
I did not know companies forced diversity on companies they work with. This is even greater reason for me to hate the woke companies. Do they even consider that not all lawyers are millennial and that they should take in to account that 40 years ago the country was a lot more white then it is now?
In other news, Asians are fucking killing it. 12% of associates when they make up 5% of the US population? Asians kick ass.
Notice which clients are asking for this. They are companies that will exclusively use white shoe law firms and are demanding that those very exclusive and prestigious firms change for them. Instead of companies reaching out to smaller firms or individual attorneys who meet their diversity quotas.
Let's see, so it's really corporate law firm clients demand more black attorneys. Because if I was in need of an attorney I'm not planning to check their skin color. I would probably avoid a woman though, I don't need some emotional BS in my court case.
Push for diversity and all that. What could go wrong with unelected global companies try to social engineer the world. Plus they expect that they are represented by the best of those companies, even the article says that black lawyers are not given high-profile work, so it is all for show. Got to love this logic, epic pay, low work and low responsibilities do to the color of your skin but somehow they say whites are privileged.
These people exist in every big corporation (I work for one). There have been guys around forever that are totally incompetent and it's just accepted and they have all been black. One was such a joke that it was almost an open thing that if you needed something from this person the best way to get it done was to just figure out who he'd get to do the work for him and ask them directly. I couldn't imagine being a competent black guy and seeing this be allowed to happen. Why would you even try?
Same, I worked for several corporations and I see it everywhere.
What made me sick was the low standards they had for new hires, I was designated as part of the skill testing phase and I've seen young white men cast aside despite being qualified while others being hired despite being incompetent. I eventually asked to no longer take part in that process but not before it caused me a lot of anxiety and depression.
