No, I tell him he is too young to know anything about himself and to wait 10 years before making grand declarations about his identity. The thing about children is that they are ignorant by definition. By definition!

I have no clue which way this will go when it goes to the supreme court. Tusk and his minions haven't actually stacked the supreme court yet, but they sure will try.

It's hilarious that women think this is a behavior exclusive to men arguing with women. As if every man (a) knows exactly the sex of the other person on the internet and (b) only elevates his language when addressing a woman. People, not just men, do this all the time and a part of argument. It's a not a personal attack lady, get over yourself.

oh yes I saw some reports of "exceedingly high" redshift values. The current press explanation seems to be "the universe isn't just expanding, it's accelerating at a rate higher than previously thought!". Followed by mutterings about dark matter. Astronomy seems to be in a bad state right now, I wonder what the real explanation is.

the gravitational attraction towards the universal center of mass would gradually slow the expansion, but we haven't seen uch a thing.

science news and open source journals, jstfor, google.scholar etc. I usually start with google (blech) and then work through other search platforms like duckduckgo! before moving onto some open journals and scholar.google and so on.

I found this though, which is an interesting alternative hypothesis: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1001713023880

there is literally nothing about it anywhere on the usual channels. It's odd--if what you remember is true, it ought to be huge news.

I need some sources that there is insufficient redshift to show universal expansion, because I can't seem to find any and it's a big deal if true.

which study was that, I never managed to find the "female brain" study to check it, despite it being the holy grail of progressive science (tm).

If environmentalism hadn't been reduced to whiney teenagers weeping about things that won't happen, that they don't understand, perhaps we would be more willing to pay attention when something important is being protested.

Anybody who thinks histrionic women with unsatisfiable expectations of service is uniquely european/american has never had to deal with middle age east asian women. The Chinese are worse for that in every way.

It's the overuse of the word genocide. It's lost all meaning and now any form of mass casualty is a genocide. People keep calling the war in Ukraine a genocide for fucks sake!

the conservatives in Poland didn't lose, per se. The previous ruling party still got the largest share of the vote, but a plurality of other parties had enough to form a coalition which can just barely form a government. This coaltion is made up of mutually exclusive parties who hate each other and they are already fighting, so don't expect anything to get done around here.

Plus the libertarian "we hate everything" party increased their share of the vote and is set to be king-maker for the coming 4 years if the ruling coalition doesn't implode withing the first year.

He cost the business world trillions in missed profits. If there was ever a reason to hate somebody (from the perspective of a business man) that'd be it.

tonnes of people want a hard ARPG. D1 was legitimately difficult at times, D2 and D3 had permadeath modes that the diehards loved. The problem isn't that D4 is trying to be hard, the problem is that D4 is shit.

there is no flushing it out. It's a gene-therapy. You can no more flush it out than you can flush out the genes for brown hair.

Tell the doctor no. When she makes a scene, say no. One word is all that is needed. No. no, no no.
