It's a blini franchise, there used to be Teremok kiosks at just about every metro station in Moscow.

Cheap, hot, delicious, stuffed pancakes made to order and filled with whatever you wanted. I was on personal terms with the Teremok blini stand in our neighborhood we were there so often. America needs these.

I'm all about public transit, we haven't had a car in almost 20 years. More funding for every kind of public transit is speaking my language.

But it's like everything infrastructure in life, it requires attention and maintenance. You can't just install it and then walk away - it has to be taken care of. And that's what usually goes to the dogs when budgeting happens later in the life of the project; maintenance declines, budgets are shifted elsewhere, servicing is ignored, and the rot starts to build.

I actually think that public transportation is one of the most fundamental of public works where tax money belongs.

This article is just way too funny,

Transgender women are being denied from leaving the country because their passport indicates they are men

One trans man during a phone call, screaming and explosions were heard coming from outside his accommodation, but he still refused to leave because of his ID issue.

No, he has a dick issue, his ID is fine.

(Remember the wizened Star Wars book store owner who put out a sign "If you've got a dick, you're not a chick")

Get out.

And yet a lot of their programming is still on youtube?

RT's best gig has always been its foreign reporting and not national news. That's a big hole to fill.

I just use it for email and a disorganized basement full of shit, folders, photos and crap. I just want something easy to figure out and intuitively functional.

My yandexmail has worked perfectly for at least 10 years, I want something just like it.

I've been watching Max Keiser for over ten years, from place to place and channel to channel as he moved his show. I can't find him at all right now :(

Calls Zelensky "evil" for handing out military weapons willy nilly and talks about the chaos those guns are creating.

He's made some other videos in the last few days, on Maktown TV - https://www.youtube.com/c/MaktownTV/videos

If you're unfamiliar he's Chilean American and has been living in Kharkiv with his wife and kids and has a long checkered history on the interwebs.

Czechs hate the Russians, period.

We were in Prague a few years ago trying to hail a car to the airport and the driver couldn't understand our destination. Most older Czechs speak Russian as it was taught in school, so I strung together a sentence in bad Russian hoping to clarify.

Taxi driver went completely ballistic screaming and pounding about the Russians, Russian language, and petrified all of us with with a first class tantrum. He did deliver us to the airport spouting and fuming all the way. whew

Happened to me on a bus in Latvia too when the bus ticket lady required the fare and we didn't understand what she was saying, we asked her in Russian. Woman pitched a fit and literally spat on my friend (who was Welsh).

Former Warsaw Pact citizens don't take kindly to Russians, just sayin'.

“This isn’t a passport,” South Carolina’s director of immunizations told Politico. “This is essentially a Covid card that people get at their convenience because it’s their record.”

Oooh the convenience of no more papers, please, I can just whip out my cell phone! But what if I don't carry a smart phone? It's not required to have one /is it?

Can I download my US passport to the smartphone too? That would be really convenient for travelling; but no, for some reason government doesn't do that. I wonder why ...

Most of "western leaders" should be in prison.

And the Hague.

Western leaders have violated every one of their promises of 'democracy' then proceeded to violate their own created Nuremburg Code with jackboots and needles.

They're indefensible.
