Nah, if the mass shooting of Dallas cops back in 2016 wasn't enough, nothing would trigger something like that. Cops likely won't be a major part in any actual commencement of full scale hostilities. It'll be a showdown between antifa and some militia group that finally does it. Look for when actual gun stores start getting targeted for looting by antifa. That's when shit will really start going down. If anything, the national ammo shortage has probably significantly slowed and hampered hostilities. Militia groups don't want to spend ammo they can't replace, and antifa generally can't get its hands on ammo, period.

Well, at least with Murkowski. She's up for reelection this year IIRC. There's definite room to put pressure on her in that direction.

I know I'm not exactly breaking new ground here, but Reznor has been absolute trash ever since With Teeth.

Their first act needs to be the firing of Todd Howard.

Someone on youtube said yesterday that Trump will probably end up picking a VERY moderate nominee in order to try calming down the leftists and make the process of confirming go faster. As much as I hate to admit it, that makes more sense than nominating a hard-liner like Amy Coney Barrett, since all the Republicans won't be falling in lockstep with McConnell, and they won't be able to rely on their majority in the Senate to push through a confirmation. The GOP really needs to find a way to make RINOS like Romney, Collins, and Murkowski fall in line.

Nah, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba can join. The rest can get fucked.

What the Republicans say their justification is hardly even matters. It is job of the Senate to determine the eligibility of a SCOTUS nominee, it not the Senate's job to rubber stamp any old fucker the President puts forward. The Senate in 2016 roundly judged Merrick Garland unqualified to be on the Supreme Court. End of story.

*sigh*

Why do I have to keep explaining this again?

Its not about waking up normies. Its about filling people's eyes and brains with this shit at all times so its all they ever see. The masses have very short memories. The left knows this and takes advantage of it every chance they get. Its why they repeated the Russia shit every day for 4 years straight.

The point isn't to get leftists to stand down. The idea is to keep demonstrating their insanity so everyone else see's it and keeps seeing it every day until election day. You can make a leftist take any position so long as you twist it enough so it fits the narrative and frame that position as being against Trump.

A possibly based political strategy: Trump should offer free abortions to all black females. He should call it something pithy like a "historic expansion of civil rights".

Who knows, its the only opinion she's written regarding the 2nd Amendment I could find. Still, arguing for the ability of nonviolent felons to possess firearms is pretty radical, its not even something Scalia would argue, at least that I'm aware of. Don't quote me on that, though. Scalia has authored WAY too many opinions for me to go through all of them and look for that kind of thing.

EDIT: Also something I was unaware of till now, both the majority opinion judges on that case were Reagan-era appointments. Fucking digraceful.

Here. Starts on page 27.

Massive tl;dr:

Barrett argues in a dissenting opinion for the right of nonviolent felons (in this case, a guy who was convicted of felony mail fraud) to possess firearms.

As a side note, I honestly can't believe that falsely selling therapeutic shoe inserts as "Medicare approved" and then billing Medicare accordingly actually counts as a felony. Fucking clown world.

Michigan

I sincerely hope people in Detroit were paying attention when Biden insulted that autoworker. People of Michigan, this is what Biden and Harris think of all of you.

four more years of Trump and then what.

With any luck, the smart Republicans will adapt. Ted Cruz (for example), as much as I had to hold my nose to vote for him in 2018, has slowly been getting more and more based. I think the thrashing Trump gave him the the 2016 primaries and him almost losing to Robert O'Rourke, gave him a whiff of the redpill.

My own personal gripes that may or may not change as we get closer to release:

The Setting: The setting this game is in so far does absolutely nothing for me. It looks like a dime store Ivalice, and considering Ivalice is already one of the most boring fantasy settings around, this is not a good thing.

Crystals: I am so fucking tired of FF stories revolving around crystals. Its like that is the only idea they even have anymore.

As for the action gameplay...eh. I like turn based stuff too, but I think its time for its fans to just accept that its never coming back. The masses have spoken on this one.

Irish Americans were some of the biggest supporters of the IRA (both of the Real and Provisional varieties) during The Troubles. IIRC the majority of their funding came from Americans of Irish heritage.

On the other hand, when the IRA's public support waned, their funding dried up too, which was a major reason why they disbanded.

Its not just that. He specifically warned the Dems in 2016 that this would happen when they changed the Senate rules to try and strong-arm Merrick Garland into the Supreme Court. He really needs to make good on that warning.

It came back to bite the Dems in the ass with Kavanaugh, and it really needs to bite them in the ass here.

I think Amy Coney Barrett is an excellent pick not because of her gender but because she worked under and was mentored by Scalia, is very against Roe v. Wade and Obamacare, and is pro-2nd Amendment, and from the opinions if seen her write, she is pretty anti-immigration too.

She's only in her late 40's, so she also has plenty of years left.

I mean, yes, there's that. But there is also the issue with Islamic rape gangs that at this point, might as well be a tourist attraction in most western European countries. Islamic men are raping women and girls like fuckin' crazy in Europe right now. The primary personality trait and goal of a TERF is man-hating, and they don't let woke shit get in the way of that primary goal.

Sorry, I misread what the dude above me said.

I didn't intend it as a criticism. It was just intended as a summary of her positions.

stanzololthrowaway 8 points ago +8 / -0

Eh, its not strange. That's just a textbook TERF. TERFs aren't shy about being anti-Islam.
