Of course I'm insulted of people want to push their fiction on me and use it to control my life and choices.

That's as retarded as saying "oh, you're insulted that people are worried about your alignment/midichlorian levels/chakra balance/displeasing the ancestors/curse of the totem". Yes, it's perfectly normal and entirely justified to be annoyed.

While I normally also sperg out and post a counter-manifesto to such a long post, I'll simply pull one jenga piece from your tower and let the rest fall apart.

Most come from ultra-fundamentalist households and decide to rebel by denying there is anything greater than themselves in the universe (and I imagine you're under 25, and come from such a background since you haven't done the thorough introspection to question how the world actually works).

People don't "deny" that the universe itself is larger and greater than man. We simply don't imagine an anthrocentric universe with a governing intelligence that somehow is responsible for a universe of supreme scope that nevertheless hyperfocuses on a bunch of barely evolved apes on an insignificant planet in an insignificant galaxy.

Or, to put it in small words, we don't need to imagine a god to explain the universe. We accept that the universe is, and we're not self-obsessed enough to demand to personify it, and we lack the absolute hubris to imagine that, were there some greater being that created reality, some bronze-age goat herders in a desert were able to accurately identify and describe it to us, when odds are greatest that if there IS a god or gods out there, they'd be more akin to the friendly beings you encounter in H.P. Lovecraft's works.

And don't imagine me, if you'd be so kind. I don't want to be part of whatever fantasies you have fermenting in your skull.

Thanks for the manifesto. You've still not disputed my point, you've merely given a long and detailed account about how the modern system is broken, and must be reconquered, fixed, and reformed by good and qualified people.

I'm glad we agree.

You act as though the religious people just want to "talk" about it. You guys never abandoned the preaching, you've simply become more circumspect of where you try it because you've lost institutional power. Its absolutely the height of hypocrisy to condemn atheists for doing exactly what the religious do.

Every baby is born an atheist. Religion must be forced upon people to exist at all. It is literally a mind virus, and must have hosts to survive; were all traces of any religion be destroyed, it would never be rediscovered, because it has no basis in reality.

And I'll stop telling you to get jesus' cock out of your collective mouths when you stop bringing religion up in casual conversation. If I'm speaking with someone and they never say god, demon, jesus, or whatever, I'll never say anything either.

But something like four fifths of the people around here want to justify whatever nonsense they're spouting with "but muh jesus", so here we are, talking about it again.

If the only criticism you have of my points is that I made a pair of minor typos while using the obscenely small screens we've all gotten used to, you're not actually challenging what I've said, only nitpicking how I said it.

And work on that reading comprehension. I said "reclaim and fix". We had perfectly decent education systems before the DoE was founded, and we can have it again. Professional, properly professional, educators will always trump laymen floundering on their bedrooms and garages trying to teach msterial they themselves barely comprehend, if at all.

Everyone around here always calls for homeschooling, but what honestly do you think makes the average person remotely qualified to teach?

Ask the average person on the street to shoe you where countries are on the map, or to explain the origin and ramifications of the stamp act, or how to calculate the distance between two points, or how to minimize sn equation, or to describe projectile motion, or repeat Newton's laws, or the difference between the subject and predicate of a sentence, or any of a thousand other simple things children should be taught, and they'll freeze like Mitch McConnell on the floor of the house.

The solution isn't homeschooling. The solution is to reclaim the educational system and fix it. We've had functioning schools and colleges before, and we can again.

It still boggles my mind how you lot casually use athiest as an insult and get pissy any time someone isn't gobbling that christ cock and working that holy shaft enthusiasticlly enough, but then have the temerity to turn around and say the other guys are in a cult.

Some real pot calling the kettle black.

I know you have trouble with higher concepts on account of the small hat cutting off circulation, but have you never heard to expression "the exception proves the rule"?

Those two are, unfortunately, quite rare amongst black people.

He's said he learned English mostly by consuming English media decades ago, and ended up absorbing the accent and mannerisms more or less by osmosis.

I've always found it amusing to hear a native Norwegian sound like a posh Englishman.

Well, good for you. You certainly endeavor to embody the ideal of the pidgeon across from the human at the chess board. Go on, then. Knock the pieces over. Shit all over the board. You've obviously won.

Have a nice say. I sincerely hope you die early in the purges, and do not live to befoul the species further.

Look, some of us can keep to at least a veneer of politeness, regardless of how much of a dumb fucking faggot the person we're talking to is being.

I realize you no more have that skill than the ability to imagine what it would be like if you hadn't had breakfast today, but at least try to remember that other people are not quite so limited.

Sir, demons aren't real. I don't know how to put it any more plainly than that. Demons are fictional beings. From a work of fiction.

Evil humans are real, and they live out in the wider world. They are not demons. You cannot treat them as demons, because demons are not real.

You must instead treat them as hums as who are, or who have at least done, evil. Because those things are real.

Live in reality. Engage with reality.

This is why people don't take you seriously. You're projecting religious hysterical nonsense onto the real world in an attempt to put a neat and tidy bow wrapped box around a complex, multifaceted issue with numerous root causes and pathologies.

Its exactly the same as running around yelling "they're all sith, come to destroy the good and faithful jedi of the council!".

Don't mix reality and fiction.

Sir, one, you can't "this user" about your own posts, and two, you can't "this user" my posts in direct replies. Please at least try to remember who you're speaking with.

For three, yes, women ABSOLUTELY should be wary of men. We are sexually DIMORPHOUS as a species. Men are in almost every case going to be larger, stronger, with denser bones, and with longer limbs then women. We have absolutely the absolute power to harm them, and there is generally very little they can do to stop us. This is why I make the missus train with and carry a gun, because that's an equalizer.

Here's the thing, though. Men are wary of men all the time.

We look over other guys in the street and make judgements. Is he possibly a threat? Can I take him? Can he hurt me? Am I with anyone I need to protect? Can he hurt them? Are there others? Can I afford to fight, or should we evade and flee?

We make these split second judgements constantly, and it's perfectly normal. It's how we avoid the suspicious guy in the hoodie looking around nervously. It's why we don't walk through dark alleys alone at night.

Because we don't live in perfect world with perfect people. Because nature is red in tooth and claw. Because we are, despite everything, still part of the natural world, and we must be ready to deal with threats as they arise.

So, no, it's not illogical or strange for women to be wary of men. It's like saying it's odd for the deer to fear the wolf.

Until and unless you return to high trust societal norms, yes. Absolutely yes. Look at what happens to the "open minded" women, the "color blind" women, the "backpack in the middle east" women.

I certainly don't relax around women, especially younger or obvious liberal women. I've seen what can happen to men if women want to make trouble.

We can continue to play the pretend of higher moral calling, but until we live ONLY with people who will ALSO play the morality game with us, we must exercise due caution and engage with the reality that not all people are equal, and the FBI crime statistics as divided by race do, in fact, reflect reality.

I hate to sound like a broken record, buuuuuuuttttt...

There's a reason "around blacks, never relax" is such a common saying. And before anyone tries to deflect the race card, you've activated my trap card: "Yes, it's not ALL of then, but it's ALMOST ALWAYS them". That stupid fucking m&ms thing the feminists loved to trot out comes to mind; they refused to grab a handful because there might be one or two poisoned pieces, but they expect you to just scarf down the bowl knowing more than half are poison.

anime art posts on /b/ depicting young fantasy characters in sexually provocative ways is an attempt to skirt CP laws and groom people into becoming pedos.

Sir, most people can quite easily differentiate between a real human and a cartoon.

Also, you can't groom someone into pedophilia any more than you can groom someone into hetero or homosexuality. It's a malformation of the brain, not a learned behavior, and honestly it's probably just a weird exaggerated gene expression of the sexual desire for the young, healthy, and fertile mate that'll be most likely to give you good offspring.

Yeah, see, I hear what you're saying, but I don't really feel the need for the picture on the screen to be moving at less then half normal speed to look good.

Its like arguing 60 FPS Bloodborne is bad because it was designed to "not look cheap" at 20-25 FPS.

Call me crazy, but I prefer smooth motion to "cinematic motion". My brain can fill in the fantasy bits as and if needed.

26
logintoblockcommunit 26 points ago +26 / -0

Honestly, I never got the "appeal" of the 24 fps standard. I jumped on board with the 60 fps upscaling the first time I saw it. I don't need some weird visual trick to tell me fiction is fiction.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't that a modern style magazine fed? It's just tiny.

I was thinking break action a la any traditional revolver cylinder, and I've never heard of a revolver chambered for 9mm. Accidentally fumbling a load of rounds out of an open cylinder like an idiot is the only way I could imagine shiny new bullets lying on the ground in any number. A dropped mag is a dropped mag, a spilled box would send that shit everywhere, and fumbling a mag load would be one or two rounds (if you were particularly clumsy).

26
logintoblockcommunit 26 points ago +26 / -0

I don't understand who this is meant to fool.

There's eight rounds there. They look fresh out of the box. No break-action 9mm with an 8 round capacity exists, as far as I'm aware.

The only way I could possibly imagine to steel man this position is if someone withdrew 8 rounds from a box to load a small capacity "legal" magazine, and was forced for some reason to drop them and flee. And even then, the fucking things would scatter to their winds like marbles.

The only people I can imagine being tricked by this are the poster child retards for why the universal franchise cannot stand.

Just going to push more people to rooting their devices. I already have to do that to rip out most of the bloatware that comes preloaded onto any new device, so I'm used to it, but it'll be interesting to see if this can push more normies into trying to take control of their devices back from the megacorps.

Yeah, no, I disagree and think you're wrong. Racial slurs don't teach anyone they're inherently evil. They just tell you other people have strong negative opinions about your people.

Humans are not blank slates stamped out of a mold. Every man and woman born is another link in the chain of history, and this chain leads backwards in time to what our ancestors accomplished. This can be both a good and a bad thing.

And being a child is no special defense. You keep defending the child who was attempting to casually rob this woman, and with such casualness that you can fairly assume this isn't the kid's first rodeo. Shilo didn't run up to a random kid and go "hey nigger, get back to the cotton fields" or anything; she reached for a word she knew would hurt when she was agressed upon. She did the verbal equivalent of picking up a rock to throw. All of your assertions about "slur word bad" have this assumption of malintent built into them that simply was not present; this was ENTIRELY due to the ACTIONS that child undertook.
