I think it can go both ways. You've had a decent response so far, so I don't think it will be necessary to guide discussion. As a bystander, I am interested in hearing what your thoughts are, so maybe you should just put them in a comment replying to yourself? If you add on to your main post, I only ask you keep it formatted to aid readability (you already are doing this).

Admittedly, while I love some southern foods, some dishes are too wild for me. I imagine the idea of eating certain "disgusting creatures" and "unsuitable body parts" was a contributing force in looking down on that southern culture. Culture is a product of genetics and environment. In other words, it is not either 'nature' or 'nurture' that makes a man, it is the combination of both.
Environment is not limited to physical environment, it contains all outside forces. Even if you have some superman dna, you're not going to be functional if you get the MKultra treatment during your formative years.
I think you put too much weight on the genetic end. Modern civilization has taken us too far from natural life, so the equation isn't as simple as it used to be.

People get sick and hurt, you can't stop that. By pushing an ultimatum for hospitals, you have to take into account the incentives of everyone who says no. If I were a doctor there, I'd probably be making mad cash by illegally taking patients in my home.

For real? You want state/city subs crammed into kia2? We'd need some kind of post filter system to make that possible to read, and I don't think it's been added yet. I'd be irritated if I was forced to filter posts that thoroughly; I would drop gaming subs once the front page was consistently filled with dumb memes and fanart, even though I could have filtered them out by tag.

Fair point. I have conflicting priorities there, though, because I want to see if the admins can manage without the nagging. I don't like having to pack up and move so much, so I'm eager to find evidence of reliability here. This is also the only win section I post in, so I'm not totally sure where the line is between our volunteer coders lagging and the admins not permitting a customization option.

But the initial community of the_donald was pretty big (and the surrounding events were great advertisement), so yeah, the win network should be leading the charge in reddit alternatives. Only the admins can add functionality to the win network. Once new subs (or wins, whatever we're calling them) are allowed to be created without a nagging campaign, I can start considering getting some of the good reddit subs to migrate. I would not invite them to our little space here, as they would drown out too much of our relevant posts. I don't think you'd want the reddit subs you miss to migrate into kia2.win either.
It seems dangerous to try and control something like this as the believers can get completely out of hand.
The only way it could be dangerous is if you are forced to live with the results. So this is safe for anyone that's outside the target areas or anyone that can easily change nations.

I don't. Lacking allies puts a person in a bad position, but it doesn't turn them into a powerless worm. Without allies, you basically must embrace terrorism. You act alone knowing you'll die alone and possibly get used as an example of what happens to dissidents.

If this sounds unappealing, I understand. It's far more attractive to protect what you care about than be struggling to harass your enemies guerilla-style. If you can form a team, you might even protect a whole town. By yourself, you'll have a hard time just protecting your own family. I'd wager that changes the equation for a lot of men - having to weigh not only their principles but the safety of their children.

I'm also assuming peaceful correction is not an option. I know how asinine it sounds to hear someone suggest voting or whatever, but I consider it part of the process. If a government refuses to permit peaceful change, they don't simply gain total control, they invite immediate violence from the citizenry.
