Thing is: they’ll just ban those, too…

They would have done so already, if not for “disabled people need straws” (true in some cases)…

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if all disposable straws become a rare commodity, in coming years…

Yeah, we have these here, too…

They mostly just end up tossed out, especially by younger people, lol…

Inc the freezer bag version.

Which makes the entire thing rather pointless, sadly…

Interesting anecdote: I was watching a current affairs program recently where a famous woke Australian journalist (Charles Woolley) was visiting remote northwestern Australia, and was out camping with an Indigenous tour guide…

So he asks him about the Voice. The tour guide responds, saying he doesn’t think it will help him, or his people, in any way, and that he just wants to be an Australian, treated the same as anyone else.

Woolley, unsatisfied with this answer, then demands that the Aboriginal man recognize that the importance of the Voice vote is for “white men” like Woolley to be able to alleviate “their historical guilt”, and to “feel that [they] have done the right thing”. Then they get into an argument, and the editor cuts away…

That’s what this is all about. That’s what my own parents believe, too… It’s not about “justice”, it’s about guilt. And once again, just like with Covid, I am aghast…

It’s a vote for a third chamber of Parliament to “oversee” most decisions, which only Aboriginal people (they haven’t told us how they will define what percentage Abo you have to be) can vote for…

Think, I dunno, Bolivia, or Paraguay or South Africa…

NZ has a similar thing, but the one proposed here is much, much more powerful…

So yeah, I would say Facebook is on the wrong side of history here…

Would also recommend Huxley’s Brave New World (in many ways, we’re closer to that version than Orwell) and any of Kafka’s novels about bureaucratic dystopia…

We’re like, a combination of all three, at this point, in “the West”…

Kafka leads to Huxley which leads to Orwell. Ironic…

And that sucks about your company. 😑

I work for the Electoral Commission (on and off) that is fudging the votes I mention in the other post, so… I feel that, unfortunately.

Statue removals specifically, or..?

My family are onboard with this garbage, so I feel that…

Also a lot of people I know…

It’s pretty disempowering, hey? But unfortunately that’s what they want - for us to feel isolated and alienated…

There’s a reason they want to destroy symbolic things, first… Though the woke have started renaming things, here, too…

Just as Orwell predicted, 75 years ago.

Their most prominent black player also got a screamer of a red card, which was so controversial (i.e. the behaviour that led to it) that other players had to say that she “wasn’t representative” of the team as a whole…

So yeah… Even the black player who did make the team managed to mess that one up.

Unfortunately I think it's more a symptom of our current race-obsessed political climate than anything else...

They're not targeting Crowther because of what he did to an Abo. They're doing it because it worked in the US, and in the UK...

Make no mistake, they also want Towns (of Townsville) and Macarthur (of many, many places in NSW) gone, because of supposed "blackbirding", because that's the closest they can find to (non-white, non-convict) "slavery", in our history...

This is a cultural revolution. The Abos are just a bunch of useful idiots to use as an excuse...

bamboozler1 5 points ago +5 / -0

In case you were wondering how they would rig the vote for their precious woke referendum (they already tried to prevent the release of information pamphlets, because they wanted everyone in the dark)...

https://archive.is/aAPxf

It's pretty crazy how blatant all of this shit is. Yet the normies just lap it up...

"Reconciliation", ha.

Nah, this was a bit later than that. 1870s. He was a surgeon, scientist and twice-premier of the then colony. Must have done some good, given the wypipo at the time fundraised publicly for this statue to be erected...

Never known to have killed or maimed any living person, Abo or otherwise, yet due to a rumour about messing with a skull (which is likely untrue, anyway), we know have this shit, more than a century later...

Cultural Revolution, Aus style...

This is what the left (Mansell, mayor Reynolds et al) did to the one councillor who stood up to this decision: https://archive.is/q2dAb

Fuck this country. This is completely beyond the pale, at this point.

I would also add that the woman behind this campaign, Nala Mansell, is, naturally enough, a convicted criminal who sent death threats to her opponents…

Oh, and the husband of the woke mayor quoted in this article works in a prominent position at the ABC, the national broadcaster. Because of course he does. And her father was an extremely prominent academic at the local university. Because of course…

The elites never admit their own hubris, naturally…

Tbf, VicPol only fucks with people who aren’t one of Daddy Dan’s “protected” groups, which, unfortunately, these types definitely are…

Hell, he even spoke in Parliament about how anyone who opposed Drag Queen Story Hour was a homophobic bigot, so…

I would expect VicPol to come down on the signs, and their creator, rather than the freak who tore them down (or indeed the paedos themselves), unfortunately…

I nearly lived in Oakleigh for a while…

Big Greek area (or at least, it used to be. Now there’s far more hipsters and students, plus young families) of Melbourne…

Would I expect to see these posters there? Not really. But the response from the leftist in question is… Amusing, if unsurprising…

And a couple of them may, shock horror, actually be straight!!

You should have seen how the media in Australia was absolutely fawning over the (majority, unlike with the English) lezzos in the Matildas team… It was gross.

“Meet the Proud WAGs of the Matildas stars”, I saw at one point…

The comments, thankfully, put it in its appropriate place, lol…

So, like pretty much every other "Country" (pop) star of the last 30-40 years, then?

I'm really not fussed. (Almost) Anything the Guardian dislikes is fine by me, to be honest...

At least in terms of "cultural" stuff (such as music, movies, etc.)

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

And now QR codes are completely ubiquitous everywhere, in almost all settings (at least here, anyway)...

It'll be worse this time, as others have said. I almost guarantee it.

But I'll (hopefully) be in Sweden, so hopefully they do as they did last time, and serve/act as somewhat of an outlier... At least compared to AUKUS/ANZUS, anyway...

It’s funny, because some of these sentences are plainly untrue, yet if you try to correct them, Wikipedia will just revert your edits and then ban you…

Eugh. “He who controls the past controls the future”…

Such fucking bullshit, even just on one page…

bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hadn’t actually clicked the link yet, but yeah, this is exactly what it was!

Probably not as good as the original, though. This was… Not very cheesy, sadly.

Because it’s hipsters. They fuck everything up, ha.

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well there ya go…

Just ironic then, that the place they decided to set up is pretty much one of the worst urban places in the entire country, lol…

Though admittedly Redfern is much, much nicer than the true ethnic ghettos of Sydney out West, lol…

2
bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

They’re calling it a “Beercade”, lol.

Here’s what I can see from the outside: Big Buck, Panic Park, pinball, Retro Racoon, “Classic Arcade”, darts, and more pinball…

Looks like an ok selection (compared to the other place I bitched about), if small. I don’t have time to go in, though, sadly…

2
bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Big group of ultra-butch lesbians just walked past the (homeless) Abo-filled mall, the literal piles of rubbish and the beercade, while ranting loudly about some local “Queerstories” event…

Fucking inner cities, lol… 🙄

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

It’s rectangular… That literally seems to be the selling point…

Which would have made sense to name it after the region in Italy that does that (can’t remember which), but I’m sure they’re blissfully ignorant of that fact…

The place is covered in edgy puns and attempts at “humour by sign”. It’s pretty damn cringe…

Kerry Packer the dead Australian media mogul..? Or a different one, lol..?
